Everyone that is asking for stuff to carry over to release needs to take a step back. (and their heads about out of their asses).
A [i]beta[/i] is NOT an Early Access or Trial version of the final game. You are NOT entitled to keep anything acquired during a beta because the purpose of a beta is to help the developer test a feature-complete version of the game that may or may not need large-scale testing that a developer cannot do on its own. Bungie is under no obligations to even offer a beta to us (or anyone). It's a privilege first and foremost, and we should be grateful for the opportunity to help shape the game in a meaningful way.
Everyone that is complaining about the lack of content or not being able to keep stuff that have acquired are simply the epitome of spoiled, self-entitlement.

I would agree with you if we got to test the full game. No reason not to carry over. It takes hours to hit 8, also I'm pretty annoyed at the amount of high level gear I have that I can't use.

Relax. I don't get the sense that anyone feels "entitled". I think the desire to see characters carry over from the Beta is a testament to how much people have come to love this game, and how much of their soul people have invested in them. Personally, I can see both sides on this. I can see that there are good reasons why wiping everything and having a clean restart might be necessary. But I can also see how carrying characters over might be a nice REWARD (not entitlement) for the many hours beta testers have put into helping fine tune this game...and also smooth out the relase because there won't be so many people piling into the first part of the game on Launch Day. Regardless, I plan on being up that first day when my Digital Download unlocks and playing before I go into work.

Nobody expects, feels entitled, or is asking for a transfer at least on my end some people just want it, and please stop saying "this isn't early access its a beta" its redundant and annoying we know its a damn beta this is just how some people feel after they've been testing so YOU remove your head for your ass bud.

BUNGIE sure inst obligated to do anything..other than thanking the people that helped them do their jobs and test it. So as a thank you, they could carry over whatever they wanted. from a programming standpoint, its not hard. I preorderd the game over a year ago, (before they pushed launch dates back twice). so am i entitled to something over someone that goes out and buys it on launch day, you bet your ass I am. why you aks?, because i put money down first. or rather, before others did. beta testers if nothing else, are like sports fans that tailgate 12 hours before the game. do they enjoy the sport MORE, maybe not, but first in line gets the best seats play. Stop acting like a damn communists and thinking all are equal...cause we are not.
