I sat up at Skywatch for a few hours just for fun smacking Fallen and Hive and got quite a lot of glimmer. Using Ether Seeds in the Devil's Lair gives quite a bit extra, too. It's best to use it in the area where the Ghost has to deactivate the laser mesh.
