I'll be brief captain, though the larger portion of Kilo-5 possibilities were washed out, many still had stellar qualities allowing them to be transferred elsewhere, but I found this case curious, an impressive record and yet his file never landed on my desk. It must have been lost with PERSCOM on Reach and resurfaced when SPECWAR moved to Frankfurt.
My recommendation is assignment to Infinity and possible S-IV indoc, but I wanted your opinion.

Born to an average middle class family in western London, father worked at a small car dealership and mother worked as a bank teller. Lived a normal family life with a sister and brother until a tragic car accident at age 8. The crash killed his sister and brother, who were not wearing seatbelts, caused severe trauma to his father who later bled out on the operating table, and left his mother in a vegetative state. In the absence of any close relatives he moved with his mother's brother to Reach, where SSgt. Griffen worked as a recruit training instructor at Camp Hathcock. It came as no surprise that the day Lancaster turned 17 he enlisted in the Marine Corps at his uncle's urging.

Military Life
After accelerated boot camp training, Lancaster was immediately shipped out with the 34th Rifle Battalion, operating in the Outer Colonies with Admiral Cole's fleet. In several engagements he showed surprising gallantry in the face of overwhelming odds, earning two Bronze Stars by pulling wounded out of heavy fire, and a Gold Star by nearly single handed taking out a Covenant trench line with half a magazine in his MA5A, 5 HE 40mm grenades and a combat knife, becoming something of a legend within the 34th and the 6th Regiment and a whole.
At the urging of almost the entire officership in the battalion in 2540 he was sent to the ODST Basic Training Course on Mars and graduated first in his class as head of B Squad, shipping out that same year with his men at the rank of Sergeant on the UNSC Saigon. Serving with the 19th ODB from 2541-2552 he lost only 3 men under his direct command, feeling personally responsible for each, painting a red slash on his right arm armor for each loss, and personally apologizing to each family. In this time he was also promoted to SSgt, then Gunnery Sgt in 2546, and finally Master Sgt in 2551.
He was present during the Fall of Reach, but could not get planetside as his ship the UNSC Grey Storm had suffered heavy reactor damage at the Battle of Sigma Octanus and had to retreat.
On Earth, part of the botched Operation: Crimson Banner, the plan to drop HEVs directly into the hull of the Prophet of Regret's carrier, he rallied the scattered Army and Marine Corps units in Old Mombassa, engaged in guerilla activities heavily damaging Covenant infantry, materiel, and morale, earning him the Legion of Honor. He also lead the organized withdrawl into the Kenyan rainforests to Firebase CROWSNEST at the base of Mt. Kilamanjaro, where he was brevetted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel to serve as commanding officer of all special warfare units in Africa. Serving in that position through The Ark.
Post war he was legitimized as an officer in the UNSC and given the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, then First Lieutanant and given command of B Company in the 19th. Currently he is working at Camp Castello, in Frankfurt, reorganizing the differing special warfare groups of the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, and Airforce into one group, rather than being seperated between NAVSPECWAR and GNDSPECWAR.
//END
It seems like an action movie plot to me as well, but this may be one of the best damn small unit leaders in the UNSC, and he was right under our noses. Why no self respecting field operator picked him up for an operation is beyond me. Look into it, put him into 5 if you want, just something I thought you'd like a look at.
