You seem to like Linkin Park, who is rap-rock. Now, here's something I bet you didn't really know. Rap-rock pretty much came about when RUN-DMC and Aerosmith did their own new version of "Walk This Way." Aerosmith is, in all technicality, a classic rock band. They've been around since the early 70's. Oh, and one more thing, I just need to point it out. Without classic rock bands, hard rock and metal would've never come about. Without older hard rock and metal, nu metal would've never come about. Saying what you just said is like saying that Halo, Half-Life, Goldeneye 007, and Perfect Dark never needed a few titles like Wolfenstien and Doom to get them started.
