The Forerunner Saga is one of the best things to happen to this series IMO, and while I'm not a fan of Traviss's presentation of the post-Human/Covenant war, I enjoyed The Thursday War a bit more than I did [Gl]asslands.[/quote] The data drops made it worse. Originally, Bungie intended Reach to be a stand alone game, and made it in such a manner that everything was left to interpretation. Then the data drops come out with this big "Reach was a plan all along" BS that shoehorned it into the canon and stomped all over the novels again. Then Traviss goes on her canon crushing crusade because she didn't read into the Halo Bible and just changed characters up on a whim. But I'll admit, the Forerunner series is great, but I always forget that it's part of Halo. Maybe because all the other stuff sucks. Reach becomes canon, Traviss goes canon crushing for lols, Traviss's novels are linked to Halo 4, halo 4 borrows aspects from Reach, derp Elites or in this case derp everything and the fugly banshee, along with the the novels. I just hate the way halo 4 was set up. It worries me about the future.
