It's pretty bad, I was actually driving through Nowra on the way back from Lightning Ridge (touring, no other excuse to be driving that far) a couple of days ago and it was in the mid 40's.
Lucky to get out of there when I did, when police and the fire brigade advise you to stay because leaving might be dangerous, then there is the potential for things to get out of control.
