No Update This Week...
...but, we did want to keep you updated on a lone Halo related news item this week, and more importantly, take the time to wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year. Except the traditional Chinese. We'll get you later on!

you say that but you cant say you dont like the classics, the classics is what makes our games great today, i still play the oldies when im really bored..like secret of mana that was a great rpg and in my oppinion still one of the best. anyway also good ideas on the movies and stuff, but i suppose i dont think bungie would have enough funding themselves to do so :3

I'm sure it will be fun to play this beta. I hope I am one of the selected few. I am such a halo fan that I read the complete novel, even "Ghosts of Onyx" and I constantly buy halo merchandise. I just bought a wall clock of master chief holding dual smgs as the clock face. I have also converted my wife to a halo feen. She was someone who was stuck in the 80's videogame era ( Nintendo and the super mario sagas, boring). Now my xbox360 playing time has been cut off by 40% thanks to her. She always hogs the system and I would love to play with her but the split screen infuriates me. Anyway, I still wish that a halo movie trilogy will one day be available... Think about it, no one wants to fund the production of the film, but hasn't anyone noticed the amount of money that this epic story has produced for bungie? Hey, Bungie, why don't you fund the film production? Afterall, your goal is world domination, therefore, why not take over the film industry as well? Just thought I'd voice my opinion. If I had the money I would fund the production of this film and a cartoon series much like the xmen cartoon series that played back in the 90's. Thanks for reading! sincerely HAL0MEISTER....

Would that seem fair 2?[/quote] you make a good point to be fair, and i do agree that you would want opeople who do like and play halo. id love to play either one of the betas and kick your ass would be fun :3 lol but my chances are slim due to the fact i hardly go on live for the reason its not in my room, and well halo 2 is now in a good pile ready for system links. since thats fun any other time its GOW on live if anything at all. but anyway i love halo but dont play its old one much anymore..but does that make me any less of a fan?? basicly i think i gotta hope i win one of the comps for the second beta test ^^

Once you have figured this out, open your browser. (mine is internet explorer 7.0 so if you have that it should work, probably with any other too though) In the search bar type in your IP Address exactly with the dots and everything and press enter. I have a linksys router..dunno if it works with other routers..but a type of log-in screen should pop-up. On my computer, I dont give a log in name just in the password column type 'admin' and you should be ok. If you got in, you should be able to access all of your router configuration settings. MTU is on the first page of settings for mine, you may have to search around depending on brand, again this is all what I do on my computer when my XBL fails MTU. If MTU is disabled, enable it and the Max MTU should be atleast 1500 I think. Thats default for mine and it seems to work. I think MTU is like maximum transmission unit or some jibba jabba but probably has to do with data idk. Anyways, thats how I fix it. To get your IP, (if u have windows XP) go to Start, My Network Places and there should be a Network Tasks panel on the left. Click view network connectionsand double click Local Area Connection. A panel should appear, in the tabs, click Support and your IP Address should be clearly displayed. (use the IP Address ONLY for this, you shouldn't need to worry about Subnet Mask or Default Gateway. P.S. -----I'm not a nerd, I just get pissed when My Live won't work and go to great lengths to fix it. =)

For instance if u only played Halo 2 once every 2 months then u wouldnt be an active comunity member. At least thats what i think it means but i could very well be wrong
