Did you ever skip school?

Security / cops at my school were never really super uptight so skipping was fun. Any who our lunch is in the middle of a 2 hour class and once it started that's when we left. 600 kids going to the cafeteria created more than enough for our groups to sneak out. My friends and I would usually get a group of people who also want to leave (6-12 people). After that we all call each other and with the right timing and communication we splinter celled our way out the school past security and cops to the parking lot into our cars and woosh! We all benefited by helping each other get out and we got back to our group of friends and took off. After that we either went and chilled at someones house, went to eat at a restaurant, go to the mall, movies, or whatever and then went back for our 4th period. I don't know about you guys but High School was really -blam!- fun for me. The fact that mine was huge and wasn't strict made it even better.

 • Nope, I never skipped once. As a matter of fact, I had perfect attendance through all 4 years of high school. But one time in class with my favourite teacher, he got one of the students to call his friend who was skipping, then he took the phone and started talking to the kid, twas' was utterly hilarious!

 • Skipped? No. Asked my parents to stay home? Yes.

 • I live in Australia and there are trees everywhere. So anytime we want to skip it's just a hop, skip and a jump.

 • During the early part of the second trimester of senior year I was in the process of switching schools because I absolutely detested the one I was in, and no matter how late in the game, I was ecstatic about leaving. I ditched my first period for a month, daily. I lived alone at the time, so my parents didn't even know. I left that school with a one point something GPA and graduated from the other with a three point five as the model student in multiple classes. Public school is garbage.

 • I couldn't skip single classes in HS. If I was marked attendant for the day but absent in one of my classes, I would have been kicked out of the class. Zero tolerance on skipping. I did fake being sick very often and just called the school saying I wouldn't make it, and then I'd go off and do whatever that day. In college, I skip class all the time. Often because there's other stuff I really need to do, but occasionally I just don't feel like attending. vov

 • Once or twice, but never for a whole day. I skipped a period to hang out with a girl I really liked but that was the only motivation.

 • Yes because I just couldn't stomach some of those awful subjects, mainly English Literature. That was in sixth form. If I hadn't been scared to, I would've tried to skip RE and Citizenship every single week earlier on in school. [Edited on 01.07.2013 11:53 PM PST]

 • It's hard to get away with wagging at my school very often because the senior staff are complete uptight asses.

 • Why skip? That only makes it harder on you when you get back with the make-up work/tests

 •
Posted by: destroys u Why do people have security guards/cops at their schools?
There was one at my high school, and at least one or two at my college. Maybe more. Which is a bit strange, seeing as I don't really recall violence and crime in my city for however long I've lived here. Security, I guess. [Edited on 01.07.2013 11:46 PM PST]

 • 6 years of college --> 1 missed day (went to Vegas for my birthday, understandably) In high school I probably averaged around 2 or 3 missed days a year.

In any case, I might skip in the future if I'm REALLY behind on some important project and I don't have a whole lot in other classes that day.

 • I was in pretty poor health for most of school, so I'd often miss up to a week at a time from catching the flu.

 • I prefer to not miss any classes. If I just went for lunch, maybe, but that period is only like 40 minutes and sneaking + going somewhere is too much of a hassle. Most of all, I think the making up for it part sucks the most.
