My Halo 5 wish list. Does the Flood agree with any points?

If you disagree or don't agree completely then please state why, Please respond like this: 1.agree 2.disagree, underpowered and useless. 3.don't completely agree, breaks Halo canon. P.S. These points are also ideas for the next game. My Wishlist: 1.BR and DMR should be combined to make select fire rifle with single or two round burst allowing bloom to take over and you have to lead your shots when burst is on. The Marksmen Rifle or MR. 2.Custom games to be fixed to more customizable and even crazy options. 3.Sprint toggle switch on custom game options. 4.A more Halo default control setting. 5.AR from Halo 3 with some bloom. 6.Custom loadouts replaced with loadouts from Reach. Let the game decide the layout, not the players in the game. 7.Bring back all old gametypes, i.e. VIP, Tower of Power, Action Sack gametypes, Race, HeadHunter, Stockpile, Invasion with more maps, Assault, and Juggernaut. 8.Mechanisms in forge that allow for moving things and opening things in a variety of ways like tracks or doors with pressure plates or keys (components like in CoD Zombies, sorry but I can't see any other parallels). 9.Forge World with changing biomes or a hollow deck that you can choose the map like desert world 1 or desidous forest world 3. 10.Firefight back and Spartan Ops out. 11.Firefight forge with Firefight gametypes. 12.Flood and Prometheans in Firefight and maybe mix. 13.Night time or daytime changes in forge maps and custom games. 14.Theater mode that is party accessible. 15.More classical concepts to in-game maps and not just crazy, crowded maps. 16.Lower player speed so to lessen the amount of space a map needs for 4v4. 17.Lower brightness of regular colors, too flashy. 18.Replace pulse grenades with EMP grenades. 19.Lights in Forge. 20.You can block and affect light in the game. 21.A vehicle similar to "The Bat" from TDKR for the UNSC that is balanced and fun. Plus that it looks good. 22.Original Mk V and Mk VI armor with Chief's new armor. 23.Put some armor in that hides the thruster pack propellers. 24.Gold visor. 25.More small maps. 26.Grenade pick-up ability for regular players. 27.Oddball skull isn't a hologram but an actual skull. 28.Old kill-based games with point-based games. 29.Skill-based ranking. So what do you think? If you have new points you want to add please do so in the order of my list and other people's additions. [Edited on 01.05.2013 10:09 PM PST]

  • I agree with all of those besides the lower movement speed and smaller maps. Lower movement speed is what reach had and it dramaticaly made the pace feel slower and not as exciting. What we need for maps are medium sized to large maps such as sandtrap which include smaller enclosed spaces in them, without sacrificing long sight lines- such as no stupidly placed rocks in the way of long range wielders yet allow separate routes to locations for CQC.

I should've said more medium-sized maps.

  • Fully agree with points 2, 3, 4, 7, 13, 21, 22. I'm really tempted to say points [b]10[/b], 11, 12 should be implemented. What I want to see (get ready for a long list jk): -better Master Chief. He should play distinctly from a Spartan IV and Spartan III instead of just having better AA usage. He should at least be able to enter/exit vehicles faster. And of course, better jump height and faster strafe -bouncy Hog (like in CE). More heavier, stable, flipping less. Only a well placed grenade or explosive can flip it -Halo 3 BR (leading shots + getting multiple headshots + killing a Jackal who's facing you with one burst) -revamped Elite Zealots. They jump at you (like in CE), switch between several weapons or fight differently (like if you're strafe dodging their shots), and frequently do the classic Elite dodging sidestep animation -get rid of Elite Generals and bring back Ultras (or bring back neither) -Arbiter [Edited on 01.05.2013 4:58 AM PST]

I should've said more medium-sized maps.[/quote] Base movement speed should remain the same, otherwise the game feels sluggish- maybe tweaking sprint to not be as fast would be a good way to adjust it/

    1. Why? I like that there are a whole bunch of rifles in this game. I would try to balance the DMR and BR a bit better, then add a few more primary weapons like: Silenced SMG (Tighter spread than the AR but weaker bullets. When scoped in, it fires rapid single shots similar to the Carbine that can also kill an unshielded player if targeted at the head) SAW (Weaker version of the current SAW, with a lot more spread) Gauss Rifle (Like the DMR but supercharged. However, it overheats like the Beam Rifle if you fire too quickly... Thus making it similar to the Reach DMR - in that you have to pace your shots - but without the whole Random Bloom aspect) Service Rifle (Classic Battle Rifle skin, single rapid shots when zoomed like in E3 2004 demo, can fire 3 rapid shots faster than the 3 shot burst making it slightly more powerful than the BR at range but harder to use) Needle Rifle (Similar to Reach, but maybe add an overheating effect to replace the bloom otherwise it would be too similar to the Carbine) 6. I disagree. I like Personal Loadouts. The only issue I have is that certain weapons are more powerful. I quite like the idea of making it into a points system. So when you equip a DMR, it may use up 3 points, while an Assault Rifle uses up 2 (let's face it, DMR >> AR). So you can trade off an Armour Ability for more powerful tactical packages, weapons or extra grenades. This way, they can also patch in a change to how much a weapon costs to equip, without having to re-tweak the weapon. I also would like it if you could make separate loadouts for separate playlists. So maybe three loadouts are universal. But you have to build a loadout for Spartan Ops that wouldn't show up in Team Slayer and vice versa. 9. Having totally different texture packs for one map isn't really feasible. That's a lot of memory. It's better to just provide different Forge maps with different locales, which is what they've already done with Ravine vs Impact. 16. Disagree with lowering player speed. The maps are bigger because of Sprint, not base player speed. However, I don't want them to replace Sprint. They could maybe tweak it a little or add perks that make you able to slow down a sprinting player a lot more with your shots. If you lower base speed, strafing becomes less important and it becomes too easy to shoot with precision weapons. 18. EMP Grenades would be too powerful vs Vehicles. I think Pulse Grenades are good, they're just a bit weak. They could maybe have them stick to players like Plasmas, and do a ton more damage when they first burst open, and finally explode. 24. There is a gold visor. I can't remember which specialisation unlocks it though. 27. The Oddball looks fine as it is. 28. I don't even understand this one.
