Do join dates connect to member quality?

I think the phrase has changed from 0'4 or bust to 0'9 are the more quality members. Look around you folks, 0'9s are obviously the better members now. Do you think the join date has direct correlation to member quality-ness? Discuss [Edited on 01.03.2013 4:57 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: Nedus If you remember Truth and Reconciliation, you > all.
Wow nice to see you around again, I thought you had disappeared from the site And I dont always think that join dates always reflect member quality, its more of the actual person their age/maturity (the person behind the profile name) [Edited on 01.08.2013 11:31 AM PST]

 • Nah, I don't think so. The profile of the community is always changing.. People that are here longer will always have some nostalgia, it's inevitable.

 • Join dates are a badge of honor. It lets people know what you have been around for. ALot of the new members think they are awesome for sticking it out during the darkness.... like this is the first one bungie has ever had. Some of us have been through a few and you dont see us bro bumping every time Deej compliments us.

 • '09? That's a funny way of spelling '08.
Posted by: TopWargamer I am from '09. Therefore '09 is master race. '09 master race
[Edited on 01.05.2013 5:53 AM PST]

 • Wait, how does this work? One thing this thread is missing is the fact that multiple accounts/join dates aren't being taken into accountability. For instance, I'm a member that has been apart of the Bungie community since 2007, right when H3 blossomed all over my face. Alas, my current and only account is from 2009. WHAT DOES THIS MAKE ME? WHAT DO THE NUMBERS MEAN, MASON? WHO IS ERIC CARTMANS DAD?

 •
Posted by: Make117 There is no connection at all.
That's exactly what an '07 would say. '08 members are more likely to apply large sounding words in their sentences. We're quite loquacious.

 • I usually based someone's title bar, not join date, on the quality of user. I personally think the bar system is a good first basis judge of someone's behaviour. Then I'll judge them by what their post says. I could care less when they've joined the site.

 • It can, it really can. For the most part though I'd have to say no. The only time I use the data is when a member is acting out in an unusual way. Generaly I have a bias for reporting members that are very new. Also, I've seen plenty of Legendary and Mythic members act horrible and get banned. It's always a surprise.

 • I'm 2008 and am just a non-contributing regular would responds to threads. I don't take on massive tasks of connecting obscure points like SonicJohn.
