A group for those who stayed.
Yes, I know that all threads on private groups belong in the classifieds. I feel as if it should be alright putting it in the Bungie Community forum because of the fact that it is for the community.
When Bungie releases its first teaser or preview on Destiny the forums may likely start to repopulate a bit. When the game releases, the forums floodgate will burst open with new members.
So I wanted to make a private group for those who stuck around and frequented the site during the darkness (Aka pretty much anyone reading this thread)
When the forum start to explode the topics posted in the main forum sections will be popping with more people, usually making it a bit more difficult to notice or recognize the veterans of the site.
So I created a group dedicate to the few who stayed... So when Bungie lights back up, us veterans can have a place to converse. A sanctuary if you will.
I will close the group when the first teaser is released. Keeping it dedicated to those who were dedicated.
Once again this thread is not another private group spam thread it is about the community. But if a ninja feels it should be locked, then feel free to do so.

It would only work if every eligible member decided to join and stay active, which would never happen. Either way, there's a distinction between those of us who were around before the darkness started and those who joined right at the beginning/partway through. If you decided not to set a join date requirement there's nothing stopping anyone from joining the group, and the 'exclusivity' of the group is all for naught.

I've been through all the dark times in this site between all the game releases and I could say this is definitely the darkest of them all but I have always stayed here I have made at least 10 posts every day since I joined in 08' and during this dark time I'm pretty sure I've memorized every frequent member on this site. I don't know if that's sad or awesome but I think it's awesome.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I fail to see how this is any different than a normal advertisement. Technically aren't all groups for people of the community?

Can we use it to discuss the trials and tribulations of having survived an extensive period of noninformation and offer exhaustive platitudes of how, through strength and perseverance, we became a better community by enduring?

The only form of interaction or news we get is from twitter, facebook, and Mail sacks with Employee interviews.

I didn't notice any darkness. Maybe when Halo 4 releases, but certainly not now.
