I wanted to post this last night in the flood, but for professional reasons didn't. I posted it in HFCS, and my fellow ninjas though it was too good not to share. So I am, but I'm taking out the names.
Here is the story,
A fellow resident I work with has been hitting on this lady. He gets her to go out to the bars tonight, but she insist on bringing a friend.
Queue me.
He asks me to come along as the wing man. He knows I just got out of a relationship and that I need a good night out working my skills back up. I accept.
We get to the bar and I am paired with this lady a year or two older than me. Fairly good looking. However I'm still not ready to start anew and I know my role is to keep the friend distracted so my buddy can get laid.
As the night goes on we talk about random crap. Eventually the four of us land on the topic of what is better, Star Wars or Star Trek.
When the question is asked of me, I respond, "I'm more of a Halo man."
This response peaks the attention of the lady I'm trying to distract. She says, "My son ****** loves that game! He plays it all the time. He also is always on their website, I think he calls it The Flood site."
I literally didn't know how to respond.
Do I spill the beans and let her know who I am? Or do I play stupid?
I went with stupid. I don't plan on ever seeing this chick again. Although she was cool, she wasn't my type, and as I said before too freshly single to try and play the game.
On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

What are we supposed to discuss?

I'd been ignoring this thread until now. Great story. I probably would have done the same thing.

I'm agreeing with everyone else on this. Best. Thread. Ever.

Hmm, kinda cool coincidence. Nothing worth saving or nominating though. [Edited on 02.03.2012 5:43 PM PST]
