Favorite memory of playing Halo
What was your favorite memory of Halo and why? Mine was when I was 10 years old playing Halo 2 split-screen custom games at my friend's house with him, our other friend, and his brother for hours in his room and being late for dinner all of those summer nights. I remember eating with my dad late at night and telling him how cool this game was. Another memory was playing Halo: Combat Evolved in my other friend's basement and remembering how funny the screaming grunts sounded, and seeing the electricity-looking thing on the elites when you shot them. Man did the graphics look good back then. Even though the games nowadays are newer and more advanced, nothing beats the memories of playing older games at your buddy's house when you were still a kid.

same, my favourite memories was finishing the Halo 2 campaign 1 million times and local custom games at my friends house back in 2005, good times. [Edited on 01.04.2012 10:28 PM PST]

I have to say my most memorable moment was when I was playing through CE back in '03 for the first time with my dad and the Flood freaked me out to no end. I almost never wanted to play this "Halo" series again due to that. That and probably getting to fly the Banshee for the first time. It was pretty cool getting to learn how to fly it, I think I even jumped out several times and fell to my death.

Mine was when I was around 10 years old; Halo 2 just came out, I had my Xbox (no Live yet unfortunately), and my friends had their Xbox. We would system link them up and play so many matches everyday. It was so much fun. I miss those times... then I got Xbox Live... which kinda ruined it >_>

nothing unfortunate about not having live, local custom games at home or at friends house was the [i]traditional[/i] way of playing games back then, how i miss those days. personally i'd rather play a system link/split screen game of up to eight players with friends than a full 16 player game by yourself against annoying children

My brother would beat hunters to death and it was just so fun to watch. Me and my brother had a blast getting lost on 343 Guilty Spark. The best one however was when a jackal looked at my brother and my brother simply responded with "The Jackal knows all".

OH my god there are so many. doing the warthog part on the maw over and over again. me and my brother standing on opposite sides of blood gulch trying to snipe eachother drriving a ghost over a tank (if you have never done it, go try it now!) endless hours of playing swords with my best friends on halo 2 getting super lost on 343 guilty spark getting out of the map on Silent Cartographer warthg jump warthog wars on blood gulch getting on the crane in headlong on halo 2 being scared out of my balls while playing the library playing br slayer with no shields to 1000 kills with my best friends on lockout achievment hunting on halo 3 (recently) doing gravemind on halo 2 over and over agai just to listen to the breaking benjamin song knowing that i could never do any f this on cod having the time of my life playing the best video game ever invented!
