A Little Tip for Those Who Are Asking for Nerfs.

{Important edit} I'm looking for smart, mature, and skilled players. I'm looking forward to making an elite team for 3V3 gamemodes. Currently this is only applicable to xbox 360 users. I've played with the best before, however now, I'm making the best. If you are interested please private message me on bungie.net. whether or not you will get in is dependent on your experience with the game. Hope to see you guys soon, now back to the real post. | | | Here`s a tip for those of you who are complaining about the so called "meta" in Destiny. This helped me big time in achieving my own ranking. A bit of backstory, I used to be a 1.1 K/D player. I could never go flawless, I could barely play on my own. I would go around blaming my deaths and losses on everything that is of cause. Sadly, there are still tons of players who are like this. Here is a little tip that hopefully you guys can follow in order to stop yourself from getting "tilt". __________________ Every time you die, or miss a kill, you can never blame it on the gun you are using or, the gun they are using. Same goes with abilities. You are dying purely because you are not thinking ahead. This game plays more so on skill, rather then what kind of guns you`re using. If you go around blaming something other then yourself for your deaths, you will never admit to your own mistakes, blaming the Game will never alow you to improve, rather you will not know where to improve upon. I could go into the crucible with any kind of blue weapon and still play relatively good. Why? Because this game is all skill/hand-eye coordination based. This game requires concentrated practice. Similar to playing the guitar. Your fingers will just feel uncomfortable and sloppy. With concentrated use, you don't even need to look at the guitar to know the chords. Just an added note, you won't play as good with a blue weapon of course, but you won't be having bad games as long as you concentrate on playing smart, and safe. The meta in destiny currently is relatively balenced. If we keep blaming the game for our own mistakes, we will likely cause a new nerf due to complaints. A new nerf will only make for a new meta, and so the cycle continues. If you ever want to get good at this game. Never, blame anyone or anything but yourself for dying or playing bad. If you do so, you will never recognize your own mistakes. as a result you will never improve in whatever is causing you to die. blaming the game will surely put yourself on tilt, which will only result in digging a hole for yourself... _________________ WE DO NOT NEED NERFS, WE DO NOT NEED CHANGES, YOU NEED TO PLAY SMARTER TO COMPETE AGAINST OTHERS. Isn't that what PvP is supposed to be....? _______________________________________________________________ EDIT #1 Thank you all for the support! I love responding to you guys, and I've been getting some very great praise. If you guys are looking for more information, feel free to look at my responses to other people. You may find your answer there. EDIT #2 As of now i've responded to every single comment. and boy there are some long ones, i've been typing non-stop straight for these couple hours. I'm doing so in hope of helping you guys! You`re welcome! :D EDIT #3 This is currently the top trending post. I'm glad that I'm getting so much support. For those of you that need help in the crucible, I'd be happy to give private lessons online. If you play on the Xbox 360, message me, if I get to you, I will quite possibly help teach you in PvP. EDIT #4 Hey everyone! I made a new community for those people who need it. It's called The Light Of Legends. If you are interested in joining, it's completely open. Just go into my account, click the clan I'm a part of, and join. We have 25 members as of now. Hopfully we can largen that expensionally.

Blaming yourself is indeed the way to move forward and improve. That said; your view on Destiny PvP isn't quite accurate I'm afraid. The "meta" we are currently playing (and frankly, any "meta" that came before) always had it's over-advantage weaponry. Usually, the error in balance was found on the archetype level. Whilst playing smart has always given me the utmost advantage, it came down to the weapons we were using in case of equally skilled teams. Nerfing, one big NO! A nerf should only be applied when the overall speed of the game(TTK, fluency, etc.) needs to be slowed. This is why the entire game has become a ruin, Bungie has failed to maintain the speed of the game with each update. With every update the feel of the game changed(for the worse, in my opinion). They should have brought weapons back up to par, whilst making minimum changes to those that were over-performing. Snipers. This is one reason we can all blame when we die. It's ridiculously easy to snipe in the game; due to this game being "easy mode". Snap to target assist; aim assist; no sway on any weapons. The game plays very fluent and polished partly thanks to this, yet makes the sniper archetype over-perform it's intended use. Combine that with extreme aim assisted snipers, and you've got an over-abundance of sniper users. Snipers have always been this way, see my next point why they have become so overused. Unfortunately, crucible has no longer any fun value to it. Connection issues aside, SBMM is the whole reason for this. Every playlist includes it, it should have had it's separate playlist. SBMM creates a constant competitive playing field, pushing players to use the current go to weaponry in order to effectively compete. Currently being snipers and scout rifles, the current "meta" creates a camping/hide and seek playing field. Use a different play style, and you'll make it yourself even harder. I don't mind being walked over in one match, and walking over another team in the next. It has to be fun. Yes, you need to admit your own mistakes to be able to improve. Yes, a nerf will always create bad impacts. The problem lies however in a bad balance in archetypes. SBMM is the cause crucible is no longer fun to play, and needs to get a separate playlist.
