THE INFUSION SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REMOVED

The only purpose for this level system is to increase the grind and have people play more. I prefer a regular level system over something that make me play certain activities to get to the max level (which doesn't even matter). The fact that RNG decides what level I am is absolutely stupid. The amount of ignorance put into this level system is beyond shocking. What are your thoughts on infusion?   • In my opinion, the taken king system worked wonderfully for the first few days you play. Then it's cancer.

    • I'm fine with infusion. It allows you to get a high level gear drop with bad stats and turn the gear you like into a higher level piece of equipment. If the high level stuff is good, great. If it's not at least it has a purpose.

    • I'd say it needs tweaking the fact we're stuck at infusing for the same type (primary for primary, leg for leg) is a bit unnecessary. I've heavy & special which I can't infuse because my hunters special and heavy is too high but can be infused with primary as I've had next to no luck in good drops for them.

    • Only complaint I have for that is increase the drop for ghost and mark bc I know a lot of guys who are stuck on only that.

    • I'm fine with the whole infusion system. However, you should not get drops lower than gear you already have. If you actually got higher level gear each time you got something, I think it would be better.

    • We need a system like guild wars 2_ once u get a piece of armor you unlock that skin then you can use that skin on other pieces of armor so you can look however you want.

    • Doesn't need to be removed, just tweaked. It needs to have an element that allows for an increase at regular intervals regardless of luck. Posted this once before, have an item that drops everytime from end game play, 1 from each nightfall, 1 from each raid boss, 1 from trials (but I don't think it should take flawless, maybe first time you get 4 or 5 wins each character each week). Then have that item or a number of them raise your light on an item by a set amount. All numbers would have to be played with to reach a reasonable amount of power increase a week. You will still have some people reach higher levels faster because luck with rng but no one would get held back forever due to bad luck.

    • Ok.... so say you hot a god roll on your favorite gun. But, it's damage is low. But then, you get the same gun with a crap roll and a higher damage. Infusion allows you to keep that God roll AND keep it viable. Without it you would probably end up using the crap roll just cause it has a higher damage rating.

      • The last 2 encounters on King's fall are the only places where being over 310 makes any difference. A few runs of hard mode, even without the challenges, will get you there. I fail to see the need to grind. Personally I like the infusion system. Not to mention that the only items that are tied to RNG since the challenges are Ghost shell and class item. Just do the challenge each week. Even with the worst rng ever you should be at least 318 after a few cycles.

      • It's actually really good. Think about it. If there was no light system you would have gotten all the gear in a month and stopped playing because the gear would automatically be at a set level. That's what made the game really boring really quick when it started.

          Removed? No effing way. At least this way you can increase light on items you like. Without it were back to complete rng mercy.
