Before we begin, "git gud scrub" etc will just be muted so don't waste my time or yours.
But I would love to know, why is it that this particular part of this strike is far and away harder than any other part in the playlist? Even above the recommended 260 light (yea right), this part in particular causes multiple wipes and quits when I'm playing with randos in the heroic playlist.
So what's the logic behind it? Literally nothing else in the heroic strike playlist seems designed to be this hard. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the vanguard and heroic strike playlist intended for fairly casual play for loot drops? If that's the case, why allow such a showstopper to trip up someone's fun or progress?
Edit: everyone sharing tactics is proving my point. The heroic playlist can be done around the recommended light level with mostly blue gear. Once you hit this part it seems like you need exotics and titans and all kinds of other special weapons or tactics above and beyond what's required to complete any other heroic strike. It's a massive difficulty spike that's out of tune with the rest of the playlist.
Edit 2: not surprised at the lack of basic reading comprehension displayed by some of you. I'm not asking how to beat the strike. This is the feedback forum. I'm asking bungie why this part is so much harder than anything else in the supposedly 260LL heroic playlist. I've completed the strike plenty of times. An activity with matchmaking shouldn't require an exotic wep from an activity 40LL above it, or to be lucky enough to be matched with a titan, or any of this other stuff. Google "difficulty spike" and maybe understand my question. Tbh the only ppl that can answer me would be people who designed the strikes.

Not a problem for defender titans.

Edited by Sickraps, Kell of Bars: 2/2/2016 10:59:11 AMIt's funny because you aren't even defending it lol it's should be called "stand by the Warsat while we nuke you"

The only logic I see Bungie implementing is: "Hey, you what would be cool? Taking the Warsat Public event and adding it to Strike somehow." Seriously, they had to nerf the Nightfall version because, for most, it was impossible to complete without a certain strategy or subclass or weapon or combination of such. Personally, 1 or 2 Defender Titans, Rockets for the Fallen Skiff turrets, and guns with LOTS of ammo in reserve.
-
So you're upset that something finally takes team work and basic skill to do?
-
Use 3 Titans stand on Warsat deploy bubble and sit and wait use other two bubbles and that's it jump off cliff and continue Titans the true masters of destiny
-
For fallen. Destroy the ships turrets then use the Warsat for cover. Do the same for the second and hit the vandals hard and earlier the better before they come down the hill. Push up the hill before the third ship drops then back down to the Warsat after you destroy the guns. Use arc weapons and firefly primaries. For taken destroy the blights. Your big target will be captains and wizards so solar and void. I usually go solar machine gun void sniper/shotgun. Firefly primary again just chill on the Warsat.

It's not that bad? :o

The SABER strike is very easy on the Vanguard playlist. The Heroic strike playlist is for people who want a challenge when running the strike playlist, which is why there are stronger enemies there. It's also a chaotic event. Enemies coming in from pretty much all sides and little to no cover and you're restricted to a close area.
-
Easy when you have an exotic sword to wipe them out quick
-
It's a bit of a pisstake compared to other things, if you have a defender titan it becomes trivial.
-
Considering the amount of hours you've played, why are you asking this now?
-
Darn Skiff Turrets

The only thing that ever seems to make this easyer is a defender bubble. It used to be much harder before they patched the walls. But it's still overly difficult even compared to omnigull. The nightfall version is a freaking nightmare.

Edited by Snafu Gundam: 2/1/2016 12:23:48 PMIt the best part of the strike in my opinion. And really simple to do if your team stay together like they are supposed to and help revive each other. Or are you having difficulties because you were one of players that relied on breaking of the map to clear it.

Edited by TacTheScribbler: 2/1/2016 5:46:19 PMI really like that WARSAT encounter. I was running strikes the other day, trying to level my poor, neglected Nighstalker subclass, and ended up in that strike with a really cool random who actually played like he was part of a team. Both of us were Nightstalkers and nailed it on our second try. The third guy (a Defender) waited til we were finished before he even bothered to do anything. I personally like the challenge. Granted, when it's the Nightfall, and there's a burn, it can get pretty frustrating. EDITED to add some info.

Titan with helm of saint and bastion on your bubble is the only way i beat it. just duke it out until i get to about 60 on the warsat then pop the bubble and just sit inside. works every time

Edited by EVIL VENOM: 2/1/2016 2:29:53 PMWhen it's in a nightfall? About 400 light.
in no way this strike is 280 light on a nightfall, it's obviously higher
I think because it's a strike it should be harder than the public event warsat. And the only thing that does make the strike warsat difficult is that you are being attacked from almost every angle with little to no cover, while in public event warsat all the enemy's usually spawn in the same direction
-
I believe it is a bit ridiculous.
-
The strike is backwards. Hard part first then it gets easier.
-
How about when it was the Nightfall with Arc burn? O.o
-
No cover is their way of adding challenge.
-
enemies are too aggressive and/or too many yellow bars, as well as piss-poor cover/tiny little space to be in. its definitely a disproportionate challenge.
-
Omnigul boss room makes warsat a piece of cake.
-
It's due to the amount of enemies and Majors the game throws at you from all directions with very minimal cover.
-
Honestly i think they nerfed it after they fixed the glitch. Way easier now than it was at first
