This is the first of a weekly beer review that Gravity Point Brewing are putting out.
Each week BeerOfTheRaid will be posted on our wall --- that beer will then be thoroughly studied throughout the raid and the resulting review posted in this forum.
For those of you wanting to play along at home, visit the gravity point brewing group to find out next week’s beer. Feel free to join in the festivities and leave behind your opinions as well as suggestions for future reviews!
So without further ado:
Beer Name: Punk IPA - BrewDog
Style: IPA
Alcohol % (abv): 5.6%
IBUs: 45
Brewery: BrewDog
Location: Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Rate beer: 97
Overall: Great beer; drinks more like a session IPA, or a hoppy Pale Ale.
Score out of 10:
Steve = 6.5/10
Ciaran = 7/10
Total(avg) = Solid 7/10
Review Details
Appearance: Yellow/orange with off white head (insert joke here)
Aroma: Sweet citrus aroma with some tropical fruit
Taste: Biscuity malt, lightly hopped
Body: Light and well rounded, dry(-ish) finish
Overall: The bitterness is by no means overwhelming, the beer drinks more like a complex pale ale than an IPA.
Raid Notes: When your Guardian is feeling the burn deep in his/her thighs (real deep) after completing the hive ship jumping puzzle…..This is the perfect beer to both refresh and prepare you for the totems ahead.
