(Edit: read the darn post, and understand, I know how to use it. I'm seeing it not registering damage, after the projectiles explode, even with multiple shots being fired. Something is broken, and it needs to be looked at. Jesus H Christ people! Learn to read, and comprehend properly.)
Has anyone else been having problems with fusion rifles in PvP, telesto being the worst of them?
I played several matches last night with my 310 telesto, and boy there are issues. Many of the fusion rifles don't work as advertised, being that they don't kill in the midrange area, like bungee says. Often taking two shots or more to down an opponent. But the telesto is the king of the misfires. Several matches last night, I hit 3 shots, with 90% of projectiles landing, only to see the person retaliate and down me. WTH is wrong here. I even had one match where I hit the guy with all 4 shots and never even took his shield down. That is unacceptable Bungie.
Please share similar experiences and bump this, so we can get this problem fixed. I would really like to run telesto more often, but with such spotty performance, it will be hanging on the wall, longing for what could have been.
Cheers guys.
Edit: I know it has a delayed explosion damage, I know how it works. I not talking about the delay. I'm talking about it glitching and not killing with multiple shots. Look, if you don't use it on a regular basis, u don't know what I'm talking about. If u want to know what I'm talking about, go run it in crucible for about 10 rounds and you will see. It's pretty jacked up.
Edit: -blam!- it. You -blam!-ing idiots obviously can't read. I'm done with this post. Sick of explaining it to u illiterate mouth breathers. Go play in the street, do the world a favor.

First off, even if it is working its more of a pve weapon. Its just not that great in pvp. But if the shot dont register its most likely just lag on your half
-
it isn't even in its final form
dbz joke
-
It's not something to get worked up about.
-
It's a pve weapon lmao
-
Probably lag.

If it only happened yesterday id say lag it gets stupid friday-monday i get the same thing on all weapons it a joke some times this game
-
I haven't tried telesto yet but when I do I will let you know.
-
Take it back to xur with your reciept for full refund lol
-
Sounds like lag

I just got a split shifter pro and the trials fusion yesterday and I have to tell you they're actually pretty darn good

Edited by WockaMakoLit: 12/5/2015 4:15:03 PMyou shoot and hide/run with that gun. coz it takes atleast 2sec to detonate that clusters. and i would say switch to your primary if you land the clusters.

It honestly sounds like you need to practice more with this weapon. It was tricky getting used to a delayed-explosion fusion rifle but if all else fails use it to control small, enclosed areas and pair it with an auto rifle if you fail to kill on one or two hits.
-
This happens with all fusion rifles, but mostly the lower impact ones. Its similar to the handcannon inconsistencies, but the "bolts" actually hit.
-
Fusion rifles suck. You can thank Iron Banner #1 and Pocket Infinity for that. While complete garbage, they can still be lethal. With a high impact, slow charge rifle, aim for thier legs. The recoil will ensure the entire burst hits them. Lead your target. Telesto is actually quite lethal if the whole burst hits them. Sincerely, a .70 scrub who uses fusion rifles in Crucible.

It's a thinking man's weapon.

You're doing it wrong. Throw some smoke or a grenade or tether and kill like 4 people at once

Edited by MichaelO26M: 12/5/2015 3:59:46 PMActually I've bever had problems with it... I love it! 744 kills :)

Use Plan C instead. It's much better.
-
Aim at the feet, know the recoil of the gun. It takes a bit of using.

You just need to be clever with Telesto. It's not easy to use in PvP, but it's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. I can never get kills with other fusions, though. Even the high impact ones. I have a Thesan with max stability and Rangefinder and it's still next to impossible to kill somebody at full health with it. I've done it a few times, so I know it's possible, but I can't find any consistency.

Plan C one shots everything in crucible

Edited by F GGY TIME: 12/5/2015 3:57:59 PMWhat are u playing on what system? I played against a dude using telesto for like three games straight lastnight. I felt bad cuz I was murdering him so bad every time he'd try to get shots off with that telesto. Kinda why I don't use mine. Imo best fusion for pvp is plan c.
-
Use the plan C and max out it's range. You won't have any problems then :) Plan C also has amazing recoil so you don't need much stability. Check my hunter if you want to see it.

Telesto isn't a pvp gun but some can use it effectively. The trick is to get a really high stability fusion with hidden hand if you are going for range. The defensive ones/fast charging you want single point or lightweight in order to backpedal and lead your target. It is more of a maneuver you have to learn to perform to master the gun. Sometimes it is precharge and snap shot the target other times it's about backpedaling or strafing to prep your opponent.
