Question, who wants to trade gear with someone for many reasons

3 RepliesNo. In fact, there shouldn't be any sort of player trading. Look up gunsofdestiny to see the kinds of behavior that players already engage in without player trading.

I don't think gear would work out to well, but currency and consumables would do well. If my buddy has blown through all of his passage coins, he could easily and harmlessly trade with another guardian.
