Voidwalker and Novabomb reworks

I'm not sure on all the particular stats and numbers but I've been playing my Voidwalker pretty extensively these past few weeks and I've noticed a few issues. #1 Novabomb should not hurt nor kill the user. This is simply unfair through and through especially in a PvP setting. I actually didn't know this was possible until a panic NB got me killed. I had to look this up and I'm shocked to see it actually does hurt the user. In a world where all supers don't adversely affect the user I think this should be fixed. #2 Novabomb Animation seems to be off. I can shoot a Void arrow with my Nightstalker very quickly in comparison to firing off a Novabomb. I'm not certain if the times are different but it seems "slower". Also you can take considerable amounts of damage mid animation. Most supers have a temporary shield when activating a super but the Voidwalker only has the Dire Skull helm to help prevent being shot down during animation. #3 Novabomb seems to fire to the right when used with Lance. Just seems to be off from where you aim. Also animation will sling you to the left or the right on both the Voidwalker and the Nightstalker. Kinda unnecessary when accuracy is key. #4 sometimes I can make 7 orbs with one Novabomb. Then turn right around and kill another group of ads and only make 1-2 orbs. I don't understand this, is it a glitch? Both times I'm killing half a dozen or more enemies with one hit how does it sometimes make more and other less? I feel the Voidwalker could use a bit more of a buff. Perhaps a faster Novabomb charge time? Or much larger area of damage on impact. I see many times where players escape a blast that should have reached them. With hammers flying and almost certain death Golden Guns, a Novabomb buff certainly wouldn't hurt too much. We only get one shot remember. Idk maybe I'm wrong and need more practice but it seems like my beloved Warlock could use some buffs. All these Hunters and Titans fighting about who's more OP well here we are quiet not saying a word. Well perhaps we could get a few small buffs sometime please and thank you.

  • I replied according to the numbers you set in place but as a side note this topic seems to be more appropriate for the #Feedback (This can be transferred by replacing the hash tag in the edit thread option. 1#: Nova Bomb is as it states a bomb and with a name like that you can naturally expect there to be collateral damage if your inside the blast radius. It isn't intended to be used as an answer to a close range engagement but rather a crowd control weapon to take out a mob at medium to long range (depending on your skill tree set up). Other supers don't kill you or damage you because more often than not you are the super in physical form rather than casting it out. Simply put you can kill yourself with Radiance if you through a grenade and walk into it but this rarely happens because players use them effectively. 2#: The animation speed with all supers is different and has nothing to do with how powerful it is, it is mainly cosmetic and also gives opponents (PVP) to react to the incoming threat if they can. Nightstalkers shadow shot may be faster firing but it cannot kill groups with a single shot (on impact) and has 3-4 stage depending on how it is used before it becomes effective. 1: Activation, 2: Firing/Travelling, 3: Impact/Kill, 4: Tether activation. Some classes have invincibility frames on activation such as Fist of Havoc and Nova Bombs. There are perks or armour pieces that will make your significantly harder to kill with them stacked with the already increased super armour you gain from them. If your being killed mid Nova Bomb it is because you were either low health before activation or your opponent had a good weapon and used it effectively or they used a counter super. 3#: I myself have a played very little of voidwalker since the dark below, i transferred from xbox one to PS4 a couple months ago but in my experience with hurling the nova bomb with or without lance you will get pushed in a direction depending on where you were moving when you fired the bomb. Movement speed also play a part in this as well. 4#: As for ads and orbs of light different enemies create different amounts of orbs (not including major or ultra ranks). So you will create more orbs of light if you bomb 5 fallen vandals as oppose to bombing 5 dregs. I'm not sure on the specifics but i think it's safe to say that there is some form of orb per class kill calculator and when you kill a group it tallys up the enemies killed and drops orbs of light accordingly. This is just my opinion but i've been a destiny player from the Beta and have hours of experience on both Xbox One and PS4, so take it as you may but in my opinion i think the voidwalker class is quite stable at the moment and i see no big problems with it.
