Guys and girls of Destiny, I apologise for the amount of text in advance.   I am writing this with concern and sadness. I have played this game from the alpha version and it is the first game I have the platinum trophy for. I have played for countless hours and my only failure in the game is in trials. I don’t mind this as I immersed myself in the pve side of the game(over 700 raid PARTICIPATIONS). I am part of a large clan of great people who all loved this game……..loved! Last night something strange happened, my son played destiny for about 20 mins before I got on to play. I looked at my friends list to see 8 out 170ish friend playing destiny( at TTK release, there was upwards of 50) I took destiny out and played black ops 3. My heart broke a little bit. I know why people are moving away from the destiny world, other good games are out which was always going to happen, and it’s the developers fault. Instead of the game being less grindy, they have made it worse. When my team raided the other night, out of 6 people from the 5 drop locations, 2 got gear of a higher light level than what they had currently equipped. Before anybody replies saying im not entitled to higher light gear…I understand that more than most and have no feeling of self entitlement. If you looked at my hours played you would understand that.   I don’t want this game to die, but that is whats happening and I don’t feel that “challenge” mode is going to be enough to counter the decline. I sincerely hope that Bungie recognise this and have something up their sleeves to draw us back. They need to do it quickly as people are getting more and more immersed in these other games. That is where Destiny will fail. If, as I hope, the developers have new content of some sort up their sleeve, they need to release it now in an attempt to halt the decline.   Please act now Bungie.   A concerned Guardian
