Buy the hand cannon at 280 or hope for a drop?
I don't really play this game as much as I used to but I always knew the drop rate for items is shit. Is it worth grinding for or shall I just buy it now?

Drop, had around eight or more over three characters, best light was 299. Rolls have not been kind however.

That's RNGudas for ya, I'm not really interested in the HC and it dropped 3 times for me. If you don't want something it'll drop.

It's fine if you want the hand cannon for the sake of collecting, otherwise I'd advise against purchasing it. You're better off getting the Machine Gun, it has a solid perk roll on it.

Managed to get a 303 drop with Triple Tap and LiTC with almost max stability.. Still sucks
