Loot system needs to be overhauled asap!

Before I get into the main topic, I want to let people know that ive been playing destiny since the beta, I love destiny. I care about the game and where its heading. I dont read everything about whats new all the time but I try. Anyway, the loot system. My opinion is that I think it needs be fixed. Properly. Bungie said that with the new leveling and loot system would make it alot easier to get to the max level of 40. They were right about that but in the end, it really doesnt mean a thing because now everyone wants to have the max light level of 320. Which is basically the same grind to level 30, 32 and 34 was year 1. Now its harder. The drop rate for higher loot is crazy low. Especially for end game activities. I know some people who have got nothing or something that is lower than what they already have. The drops need to be definate. It doesnt have to be 320 but, any piece of armour thats dropped for a player needs to be something that will make them progress. We love to play the game you will loose players for unfair drops. People are getting tired of grinding and putting all this time into a game that doesnt deliver fairly. Its a big reason that people are moving on to other games. Tell me what you think destiny community. If bungie could respond to this post about this issue it would be appreciated.

  • The entire loot system is flawed. I continuously get aggravated after farming for days and only get rewarded with like 20 blues and 2 purples. The drop rate is crap. Bungie needs to fix this so badly. Please Bungie. I love Destiny but I'm tired of watching other people get rewarded amazingly and I'm left holding a bag of bread.

  • Personally, I think nothing in the raid should drop below your characters light level. If you are a 315, you shouldn't be getting 314 drops. That's just awful :-)

    • So I helped some hard mode noobs through the raid last night. We grinded a bit. I dont mine helping. 1 guy ended up getting a 300 ghost when we beat oryx. I got a normal mode chest piece. Id rather see a better drop rate with hard mode gear than getting double rewards. I dont want to see 1 piece of normal gear in a hard raid. Unacceptable.

    • Yup here is the reason i play fallout more and more... 315 plus on three characters, and i realized that the only way to level stuff up is to grind hard mode raid. So besides hitting 320 once to upgrade/infuse your gear you have to win more and more 320's. Hard raided every time every week possible. So im doing the math it will take till summer of 2017 to upgrade my iron banner and trials gear to 320. Rewards are just not good enough.

      This is the main reason I haven't even bothered with hard mode. Normal raid was fun but it got old after getting no progress in gear and having my characters stuck at 307-308. I seriously stopped playing, I logged in for the Halloween stuff. But I lost interest. I check the forums every now and then to see if anything improves just to find out the sisters scream is lower because somehow this was a problem. I didn't even noticed it at all. I love the game and I loved TTK but loot is worse than ever and unfortunately that was it for me. I'm not a fan of fallout (never played any of them, probably why) I can't stand CoD. Battlefront looks gorgeous but I've never been a star wars fan. I'm waiting for uncharted 4. Uncharted 2 was my first platinum and I miss the series. I'm currently playing minecraft and ffxiv just to have an mmo. But overall I think I'm gonna take a break from gaming. Hopefully it changes, If it doesn't I already know I'm not bothering with any DLC's until an actual progression system is in place. Just my opinion on the matter and my feelings since hard mode came out.

      • I could have sworn I also read somewhere that with exotics, it would take into consideration which ones you already have and lower the possibility of that item dropping again. The 7+ Invectives, 5 Hawkmoons and HereAfters I have had drop tell differently.

          As per the other threads on this exact topic the consensus is that its gonna take ~20 complete HM raids to get to 320 per toon...either you put in your 20 or you can leave. My advice is to have your shards on you and to 3oc the bosses. I guess we can debate if 20 is too many and whether it should be 16, 12, 8, 4, 1 in this, i want, snowflake society?

            • Honestly I would play if they made is so we could increase gear by ONE light level by trading in 20 moldering shards... that way even if you get nothing from the raid, you at least go up on light level on one piece of gear.

            • I agree. I have been in the raid 3 times to a non completion, I have a 300 ghost and a 303 shotgun. And a huge stack of shards. Every new legendary is 280 and has to be infused up (grind + rng Ingram drops + rng attack levels + rng Ingram slots). I have had to work (12 hr shifts) every black spindle daily, still got in a few attempts but can't get it done...and the time gating on every exotic questline is mind numbing. I miss being powerful and it feels like I'm running into a wall trying to get back. Most of my clanmates already quit because of the grind making progress even harder....it's making it hard to even turn the game on.

              • People are moving on because there are new games coming out.... You can't play a game for a year straight and overlook new comers. Once an expansion hits you'll see more players logging into destiny
