Up the ammo capacity for hand cannons
I like using a hand cannon once in a while just to change things up, but outside of patrol or crucible they just arent a very viable option due to the limited ammo capacity they have.
Today while trying to kill Dharnu in the divide I ran out of ammo for my ace of spades and had to go kill two dregs to get some ammo and finish the fight.

First off, I'm not agreeing or disagreeing so keep that in mind when reading my post please Ok, so autos and hand cannons are designed and intended for the purpose of using up close and personal with the enemies. These same enemies that drop ammo for you (even in crucible you can get primary drops from kills). If you are fighting up close then you shouldn't run out of ammo

I used to have about 100 reserve ammo on the hand cannons without armor boosters, the reserve should be at least 200 without armor boosters. It's just too ridiculously low and since they also nerfed ammo drops... well... All these nerfs kill the fun in the game.

10 RepliesGetting a piece of armour that increase hand cannon ammo pretty much solves the problem. But I agree totally, there should be more. I blow through auto rifle ammo super fast too, a bit more wouldn't be a bad thing haha.

Hand cannons just need some love all around. It's like auto rifles in year one. They become so abundantly used and were so powerful that Bungie overreacted and nerfed them to hard. Autos and hand cannons need tweaking in order to compete with deadly pulse rifles and scouts

Bump. I love hand cannons, but run out of ammo all the time. In nightfall it's really annoying to run out, and then look around and see no ammo on the ground either. I end up running around grenadine or picking stuff for a white brick!

Yea this was another one of bungies not asked for nerfs. Hand cannons and scouts took a huge hit in ammo capacity and clip size. They also made the more ammo perks not work or changed them to total ammo carried. Just another way to screw players.
