Buff the Striker Subclass...Please?

Can we actually make that statement SOMEWHAT true? Increased lunge range would help, and two charges of Storm Fist should be a perk. A default effect of Storm fist should increase the speed of your next melee, making Titans pretty f--king lethal in close range, but not to a point where the nerf mobs are roused. Now let's talk about Fist of Havok. I can't be the only one who uses Fist of Havoc and says "That's it?!" Compared to the more hands on effects of Arc blade and Storm Trance, it just doesn't cut it, especially in PvP. First off, standard Fist of Havok should do at least twice the damage it does now, but What if there was an option or perk choice to have TWO fist of Havok activations per use, but each use has a much smaller radius, lunge distance, and less damage than standard fist of Havok? This would be a VERY potent option for PvP players and with the reduced damage (Each slam would be equivalent to an arc blade swipe) and slight lunge distance and area of effect reduction, it would be pretty balanced. Lastly, I heard about that fine Exotic chest piece you guys scrapped for the Titan called "Twilight Garrison." This chest piece had me drooling. Double tap B/O for while air born for an aerial dodge?! YUSS! But why is this NOT a standard perk choice for Titans without the need for that chest piece? Bungie. WE NEED THAT AERIAL DODGE. Warlocks have blink, Hunters have blink and Shadestep. We Titans have still discovered no new evasive move. Just to recap: 1. Two charges for Storm Fist with increased lunge and a faster follow up melee. 2. More damage for Fist of Havoc in PvE and a perk choice for two weaker Fist of Havok activations per use. 3. Screw the Twilight Garrison. We Strikers need evasive action. Give us the Aerial dodge! Please?! Please Bungie, make being a Striker great again. PS: PLEASE give us the Aerial dodge!

  • FoH damage should be based how high you are in the air, the higher you are the bigger radius and damage

  • I'd add that headstrong and death from above perks should be intrinsic to FoH. We shouldn't need to spec for them just so our super can reach opponents. This makes no sense when most of the other classes get ranged supers and we have to close the distance to land ours. Makings death from above a perk instead of innate is like requiring a nightstalker spec for a bow to shoot the arrow, otherwise they have to lob the arrow over and hope for the best.

      My idea would be to give storm fist the default ability to stun players. More specifically their turn speed and movement speed are reduced. Next make Unstoppable work not when your super is activated but when it is charged. --------This gives the striker more armor for general purposes, and makes striker titans easier to predict when fighting. Say you aren't doing normal damage, with this you can better tell they have their super. Which if they are running at you you can better decide to commit to trying to kill them or run before and if they super you. Next and certainly the most necessary is Juggernaut. At base it needs to be far stronger than it is, and less counter intuitive. So making it stronger is easy to wrap your head around but making it less counter intuitive is another matter. For starters maybe make it sustain after sprinting. Of course with this the users side should be capable of being shot through. Also it shouldn't go down on it's own either. The only other idea is that the shield is stronger while sprinting but weaker while in combat. --------I think it could be overpowered, it's hard to say. On one hand it would add a lot of value to the eternal warrior helm, but on the other the shield is very directed and doesn't cover everything on that titans side anyway. Regardless the perk is useless as is now and I think these are fair buffs to it. Last idea for stiker would be mainly for shoulder charge, but also for the super, and that is knock back effects. If shoulder charge doesn't kill it also knocks victims back. Keeping them from simply shotgunning you while you are stuck in animation. If it's done for super I'd like for the kill range to be less. Anyway I think that covers most of it.

      • I disagree... Sort of... Conceptually Titans are heavy duty with survivability and power. Hunters are fragile and agile, but accurate and deadly. Warlocks are power mongers with a gnack for keeping you at arms length. Your changes are essentially asking to make titans abandon their concept in favour of the things that make hunters and Warlocks unique. Shoulder charge is extremely powerful and useful for maneuvering. All that is needed to balance this problem is to change how it is activated. Double tap melee button to activate rather than running 3 seconds to charge is all that is required. JUST DO IT!

        • There is the way to buff it put the exotic boots that makes you shoulder charge one shot pretty much anything even against sun breaker

        • This is how I would buff the Strikers melee Overload. Change to,hits with Stormfist cause damage over time. 3-4 seconds Discharge. Currently only provides a chance to deal AOE. Change to,hits with Stormfist cause AOE,kills reset Stormfist. (Current description is not accurate in perk description) Amplify. Currently,kills with Stormfist reduce cool down of FoH. Change to,hits with Stormfist cause knock back/stun (2 seconds) kills regen 50% health.

            I've got a video I've been meaning to upload of patrolling as a striker in the Divide. I came across a couple of guardians battling with the taken champion, and as I'm super charged with the Helm of Innermost light on I jump onto a building leap into the air, and with the best aim I've ever had in my life come crashing down directly onto the Taken giant's head scoring a perfect death from above bulls-eye on his face...doing 0 damage. >.> Fist of Havoc is garbage in PVE. *Edit* Added the video.

              • There is a slightly higher amount of damage on the storm fist. It's not but it's enough to kill a Hunter with 1/4 (or 1/3) shield. What needs a buff is juggernaut, through a new exotic.

                • Strikers do need some work as the Sunbreaker Melee way outclasses it. Also Fist of Havoc should have a much bigger visible electric explosion to better show it's reach. I also support having it's damage brought up.

                          • All of your points (except 2) can be remedied by the right gear. As for the extra damage, it's jiggle unnecessary as its already an instant kill to most everything including every single super.

                            • Is that a joke? Strikers are still amazing. I get more kills with my striker than Sunbreaker. Best grenade in the game, shorter super charge than Sunbreaker. Striker is still a beast hands down
