The greatest gap in gaming
Has to be half-life 3. The game that defined a generation of games and gamers was cut short and it still leaves a void in the hearts of many (myself included). Half life is responsible for some great games such as counter strike, team fortress, portal to name but a few.
I have only one question.. Why????

Even if Half Life would get made people will bitch about it not being what they want it to be.

Half life 3 will never exist... Unless a third party gets the rights to make it. Then everyone will just hate it

Valve used to make games.. now they make money. Why go back to making games?

The hype around this game sets the bar for the game unrealistically high. We would be disappointed with whatever we got that's how high are expectations are.

They don't need to make it, and at this point trying to make a game that would be a good enough sequel to live up to its legacy is going to be a lot of work. They've got plenty of work.
