Bungie Community,
The march toward a better, faster, stronger website continues. This Beta is just getting started, and we've already deployed a hotfix that has targeted and destroyed 42 bugs that were compromising the basic functionality of our new virtual compound. I won’t bore you with the full list of solutions. I could barely understand most of it myself.
Here are some of the highlights:
-Obstacles that were blocking some International users have been removed.
-Safari private browsing (naughty, naughty) will no longer break sign-in.
-Sign in will work better when users are in https mode.
-Removing conversations from your messaging menu will induce less odd behavior.
-Forum content has swelled to a 13 pixel font.
-Group Administrators can toggle the visibility settings for posts.
-Duplicate Reply links will no longer, uhhh, be duplicate.
-Following a user will no longer have you ignoring them briefly.
-Notifications for joining and being accepted by Groups are now being sent.
-Forum paging for multiple tags is no longer broken.
-Bungie Day avatars are back!
-The influences on Topic Popularity have been refined.
-All of the Apply Now buttons on Career listings now work.
-The Group name on the Topic index is now a link.
-Users can sign in with just a Google account and access friends.
…As well as dozens of other fixes, tweaks, pokes, tugs, jabs, nudges, and polishes - the need for some of which you might not have even detected.
Did we mention this a Beta? These were the immediate bugs that we aimed to step on. As we wipe them off the bottom of our boots, some of the larger issues that you have calmly discussed in a perfectly reasonable tone of voice are also being addressed. Stay tuned for more developments.
And, keep your feedback coming. We’re listening. Who knows what else might change in near future.
