How would you consider this sniper compared to others?
-
I don't get the whole"needs more damage" argument. If you can't fire more than one shot at an enemy you're not a good sniper. Honestly does EVERY sniper need to OHK? I DO wish hereafter had crowd control instead of perfectionist
-
Hereafter? How bout herenever. Waste of exotic slot 1000 yard stare w/firefly > hereafter
-
I think it's garbage
-
Oh and one last thing, I found out that if you kneel while looking through the scope the sniper will zoom in closer automatically. I don't know if any of the other snipers do that.
-
op for PvP, I personally like the LDR 5001 arca type for PvE and PvP tho
-
It's crap
-
I think it blows
-
Makes easy headshots, but impact is low. Have 2 1000 yard stares with great perks that do more damage
-
I don't like the zoom. It's way to "long range scope".
-
If you're a good sniper this thing will shine. I'm mediocre at sniping and I love it. 4 Headshots return the mag to full and headshots blind enemies. This gun is amazing.

I mostly play PvE and the way that I use a sniper in PvE is to kill majors and do high DPS to ultras. In that context Hereafter unfortunately falls flat compared to other snipers. Hereafter has very low damage but makes up for it with a 5x crit damage multiplier. Unfortunatley after you factor is the major and ultra crit damage reduction, it's crit damage is only inline with other snipers and it's non crit damage is way lower. The 4 shots 4 kills ability is also not well suited for killing majors and ultras, since you will likely need mutilple shots to kill any major, even tier one majors. The blinding explosion perk is great. When you do get a kill and it blinds all the enemies around it, you get a few easy kills afterwards. Though it doesn't always proc and likely you will only get 2 or 3 explosions for all the ammo you have in reserve (let's say 6 or 7 major kills). Given that its main abilities rely on using the sniper to kill trash mobs and that isn't how I use a sniper, the Hereafter is really no more than a novelty weapon or an acceptable sniper if you have no other exotic weapon or no other snipers (but likely its exotic perks will be of no use in high level gameplay). Now if they took the basic build of the Hereafter and made it into a scout rifle (8 out of 12 shots are precision kills) or a hand cannon (6 out of 8 shots are precision kills) then that would probably be the best exotic in the game. Currently though, it is like the Necrochasm of sniper rifles, it looks like a great set of abilities, for a completely different weapon type.

Highest aim assist in the game. Bring to pvp
-
I like mine. The extra zoom comes in handy for long shots.

Black spindles better
-
I didn't think much of it at first, but I really like it. It does a high amount of precision damage and that crouched zoom comes in handy if you're trying to snipe through a bunch of adds and the blinding light helps there also. It doesn't give me the same "omg" feeling that Ice Breaker used to, but I don't think there's going to be snipers that powerful anymore and this is a solid choice for a sniper.

Trolling with no account muting
-
Interesting perks but not good for bosses or raid bc perf. Needs crit kills not hits. And really low impact so low damage output. Recommend 1000 yard or even better the black spindle.

To be extremely honest. It all depends on you, the perks fully unlocked are awesome, you can Definetly use the perfectionist perk even if people say its crap. Plus the blinding light is extremely useful in both PVP, AND PVE, it slows down battle each time used. The sights are very good, and even the zooming in function is extremely useful. The only real "downside" to it is that it's a low-impact, high RoF sniper. Trust me, sometimes these snipers are better for the type of player you are. I personally ran the 20/20 AMR7. that gun SUCKS at killing, it won't even kill a warlock using ram with a headshot, yet, I was able to play the guns strengths, and I absolutely loved the weapon! Use it, try it for some time first, PRACTICE, even if it's only an hour, struggle with learning the weapon, then make the fate for it, if you don't like it, then hey, its always in the blueprint kiosk!

Haven't used it yet, but I've seen PlanetDestiny's review, and it looks like an awesome sniper rifle.

Mediocre compared to my 1000 yard stare
