The Vex and their over all place in the Destiny-verse are what struck me. Being named after mythological creatures and the wonder of their transition of time and their ancient ruins like the Vault of Glass in the game piques my curiosity. Also, the mystery of previous guardians like Kabr and Prydeth that sought to challenge them really makes them an interesting plot device in the game.
