I've been playing PvP and noticed on far too many occasions headshots not leading to 1 hit kills on headshots. This is on targets who are on normal shields in playlists that do not factor level advantages.
I assume this is a side effect of armor now reducing incoming elemental damage but it seems a bit harsh to negate the precision of snipers by requiring multiple headshots for a kill, when previously it's always a guaranteed kill after one. Maybe the issue is something entirely different and I'm just stupid.
I'm wondering if this is a known issue that will get fixed, or if it is intended. I haven't seen it discussed, granted I haven't been on this site for a few weeks. I personally think precision hits should negate the reduction to incoming damage, unless of course the issue is something else introduced with year 2. My stance still stands though, sniper should be 1 hit precision kill like it has always been.

The range falloff is pretty stupid IMO. It's a sniper, it is the pinnacle of long range combat. It's not like any of the maps, except maybe ones like First Light, are big enough that there should be a dropoff. It rarely affects my gameplay, but just seems unnecessary.

Range over stability due to weapon patch 2.0. You're taking a risk with low impact sniper rifles. 1000 yard stare, Ereine RR4, Stillpiercer are high impact sniper rifles that handles well. Try em out.

Oh this is that Tao Yun sniper.. You're using a low impact sniper at extended ranges, they have dmg drop offs now, what ya expect? Use high impact snipers and you'll never have this problem.

Low impact sniper + damage falloff. Was getting cross map 1HKs on first light and bastion with hereafter and 1k yard stare.

That is the downside of that chinese sounding sniper. The range is quite poor.

It's because of the increased range drop off, as having higher defense doesn't decrease damage intake, it makes it so you can survive more damage.

I'm gonna say it's a combo of range drop-off and possibly armour/elemental reduction. Jmo tho.

I think its damage dropoff. It was made more relevant with 2.0
