European region PS4, Retail Destiny disc; UK account - Help
I have a question to which I think I already have the dreaded answer, but I want to check anyway..
I come from Slovenia (now I live on Malta, but that's stil EU). I have a UK PSN account. I made that account way back in the starting days of PSN, when you couldn't purchase anything from the PSN store if you registered as a European. My PS4 was bought in my home country as was the Destiny retail disc (Vanguard edition).
1. I have no option to purchase only the Taken king Expansion, it's like it doesn't recognize that I already own the original game. Any help?
2. If (and that's a big if, which I don't really want to pursue) I purchased the legendary edition of destiny with all content included, what would that mean for my Destiny account?

1 ReplyA couple of points: - The digital download version of the Taken King, requires ownership of both year 1 expansions. There was no Vanguard edition of the base game, it sounds like you have the standard edition of the game. If you never purchased both year 1 expansions, or are trying to purchase ttk on a different account than the one you own the year 1 expansions on, you will be unable to purchase the standalone ttk version. - While disks of any region can be used on any playstation, digital PSN purchases are region locked. Furthermore, if your disk region, and your digital add on region are different, the digital add on will not work. You should contact Sony to discuss what region your account is and whether content will work, if you are unsure. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12459
