Sunbreaker Counter

Everyone seems to be on either one side or the other in terms of nerfing the sunbreaker super or telling them to stop whining. However, now that we've all had time to play against the new supers I just can't seem to find a single reliable counter to it. The issue with the Sunbreaker as opposed to Bladedancer, Is that the range attack not only exists on the super but is Better than the Melee attack. The range attack has a ridiculous radius and a really high aim assist stat. I have honestly only seen 1 person ever Melee someone , even if they are at point blank range. Don't get me wrong the Bladedancer + Blink + Hungering blade is annoying to deal with and deadly, however you can counter it with a sniper shot and range or the more reliable shotgun Melee to the face. The Sunbreaker issue is that you can't counter with sniping unless you're at ridiculous range or else the hammer will kill you if you can't escape with blink. Also shotguns are a poor defense for the same reason. I'd also like to mention that Razors edge is bad compared to the thrown hammers. Golden Gun is strong at range but is less effective close range, doesn't get addition armor, doesn't have health regen or a blast radius (even the Combustion perk is less effective). So there's how I see the situation, if anyone does have a legit consistent and viable strategy other than "turn and run" or "counter it with another super" Id be interested to hear it instead of just being told to quit whining.

 • Shadowstalker's super not only prevents a Super from activating but stop's activated ones as well. Best counter in the game to any Super by far. Shotguns are still one of the best options as Sunbreakers have to wait for a time before they can start throwing hammers. If the first hit doesn't kill them, just strafe out of their line of sight and melee/shotgun away. Easy stuff. Generally they are most vulnerable at this stage so a coordinated team can put a Sunbreaker down with very little effort, hell even just one guy who is any good at sniping can take down a Titan before they can get going. When I get back to my xbox I plan on running and recording a few Crucible matches to record a (hopefully) helpful Crucible guide. Most people set themselves up for failure and I think that's how Sunbreaker's really get as many kills as they do.
