Ten year plan already into year 5?
Simple question.
-Bungie and activision signed a deal in 2010, a ten year plan, to produce an ever evolving game.
-2014 game is released a year late. Were those three to four years part of the ten year contract?
Are there ten years from release? 2014-2024?
Ten years from contract and creation 2010-2020?
I know they can always go further/sign new contracts. With all of the dust settling and their business plan and game design becoming more transparent i'm just musing about the future of the game and what the next 5/6 or 8/9 years may hold.

This Info may have changed but I believe in the contract signed by both parties there was a deal to have 4 games and 4 major expansions(Comets) in the course of 10 yrs. The games were supposed to come in 1 year and then the "Comets" would come the following year. Bungie has stated that they plan to keep Destiny in orbit for a long time. Destiny 1 started Year 1 (Game 1) Destiny TTK started Year 2(Comet 1) I believe that Destiny 2 will be the start of Year 3 Keep in mind that Bungie helped design the PS4(not sure if they helped with XB1) and most console life cycles last 10 years or more) Did Bungie & Activision sign their aggreement once Bungie started helping with the PS4? I don't know. If I remember correctly in the very 1st ViDoc Bungie released about Destiny they said the beginning part of creating this franchise began in 2007. This is how I see it going down for the next 5/6 years. Destiny 2 starts Year 3 Major Expansion 2 starts Year 4 Destiny 3 starts Year 5 Major Expansion 3 starts Year 6 Destiny 4 starts Year 7 Major Expansion 4 starts Year 8 Now I am no expert in game design or game story telling so this scenario could be way off. Either way I am glad this franchise exists. Its my very 1st experience with a Bungie game and TTK is light years ahead of Vanilla Destiny.
