Is 365 Attack Weapons That Much of a Determining factor on Level 35 Prison of Elders?

On my Clan's first attempt on lvl. 35 PoE, we made it to the 4 Round without much issue. all 3 of us level 34. One this week's Round 4, it's Fallen with 2 waves of "Curb Stomp the Incredibly Overpowered Major Captain." We were able to focus fire and melt the one on Wave 2, but couldn't pull it off on the Wave 3 one. The only thing I can think of being the really deciding factor on this fight that was keeping us back, was that not all our weapons were at 365. Considering that Captain is Level 36, how much less damage do you all figer we were missing out on with 331 Attack Weapons versus a line of 365s? This was a fight I was glad to have had Plan C. Any responses appreciated. I don't know if anyone has tested damaged differences now. I though I ready back in the TDB, a difference of 15% between 300 and 331.

  • I have weapons maxxed at 365 but am sitting at a 33.5 light lvl. Is it possible to run the 35 and still beat it? Its the last triumph needed for me. Like i said im a 33.5 titan.

    • Found Verdict, 365, is your friend vs captains.

I defeat him on average 3 times per week and my biggest issues have came from , not good communication with new fireteam members, and / or non upgraded weapons being used. Also keep in mind your elemental damage should always match shields , especially at that level. Incorrect element is automatically 1/2 damage before level deductions , correct element is based of double damage until shield is broken. Kinetic is base of normal damage, before any deductions. So if you have a 365 Midas opposed to a 365 solar against an mythical level , arc shielded foe, you are best off with the kinetic 365 mida.

        • The trick for that captain is to camp the door preferably with a bubble and shotgun him, it's the fastest easiest way. And as soon as you kill him run away to the corner spot and kill everybody else.

          • I have only tried Skolas twice and beat him once. In my meagre experience it made a lot of difference, especially against Captains and Skolas himself. Believe it or not it was relatively easy to beat Skolas when the modifiers were "small arms" and " lightswitch". Did it first try though the Skolas encounter took around 40 minutes. Timing and communication was key as well as 2 Sunsinger's and a defender Titan. We timed it so we did the mines just as a Sunsinger got the poison crap, allowed himself to die and self res. Reset poison and you buy yourself an extra 40 seconds.

            • Found verdict or any arc shotgun destroys those captains. Titan bubble with Helm of Saint-14 at the door makes dealing with it easy on wave 3.

              • Of course it is, extra damage can make you fly through that POE 35. I waited until I had a Fatebringer since my oversoul didn't really do that much damage at 365.

              • I was having the same problem with this. Considering your light level is two below his, you do understand you're doing about half damage.

              • no not really also with Fallen you all should be using Arc shotguns Found Verdict is awesome and has final round, so empty your clip, but don't completely reload, just keeps aging the trigger button so as soon as it loads 1 she'll it shoots again your character level matters more as that dictates how much damage you will take, since we are always taking hits from somewhere, it's more important but I wouldn't go in with 300 weapons anyways lol
