Head 2 Head: Pokemon Vs. Destiny

Destiny

Hello Guardians, A few days ago, I read a post about how Pokemon is a better game than Destiny. I have thought about it ever since and think that it is time to put this topic to rest. So which one is better? It depends on who you ask, but my goal is to help you decide and vote in the poll above. The first area of discussion will be price. Destiny costs about 60 bucks at release plus 20 to 40 dollar DLC's. This means that throughout a single games lifetime, you may be spending upwards of 140 dollars to stay in the game (Remember the rumors of TTK not enabling players to reach endgame levels anymore without purchasing DLC). Now for the competition, Pokemon. Pokemon games cost about 40 dollars on release and that one time 40 dollar payment covers all updates and DLC's that will ever exist for that one game. This brings us to the next subject, gameplay. For this, I will divide gameplay into three categories: PvP, Story, and Social Compatibility. For PvP, Destiny has very well thought out arenas but certain "broken" weapons that ruin all that work. Also, elements have no effect in PvP, meaning that it leads to less strategic gameplay and more fast paced gameplay. In Destiny's PvP you will often find people throwing strategy out the window and turning the game into competition a who has the better gun and who can land head shots more consistently. For Pokemon, PvP is well balanced and while it may not be as action packed as Destiny's PvP, it is much better balanced. It is this way because there are certain elements that cancel each other out or are super effective against one another. This system works as a checks and balances of sorts and prevents any one Pokemon from becoming too powerful. In Story, Pokemon is (I'll admit it) a far better game. There is logical progression and you actually know what is going on! For Destiny... Well, we all know how Destiny is story wise. Finally we are here (if you have made it this far, I applaud you for you dedication)! Social. As we know, Bungie wanted Destiny to be a social game. And while it lacks many social features, it still has in-game chat and many other social features (except matchmaking). For Pokemon, the system limits the ability for the game to be social because the DS keyboard is INSANELY hard to type on and the messages are hard to read and respond to. There are also no "clans" or social groups. What does this mean? It means that Destiny needs to step it up and that Bungie needs to make the game worth the money that we spent on it. Otherwise, many players will move to better, cheaper games like Halo 5. Please vote and "Bump" to put this on trending I will be adding more soon, Radster859 Edit 1: A good point was brought up by a person in the comments. Vault space much?
