Weapon Tuning 2.0 Fusion Rifles. Deej why the adjustments?

Petition not to adjust Fusion rifles in weapon tuning 2.0 and not make them harder to use. Slower bullet speed? Shorter ranges? why? They are already the hardest to use and least utilized special weapon. By far the best weapon idea from bungie in this game they are awesome. but they need a buff in pve. Pvp when compared to shotguns and snipers they Take more precise timing because of charge and actually requires you to lead target. Reducing drop off and bullet speed would make them virtually useless. For a 6 round burst the bullet speed should be fast they dont need to be turned into dregs promise. Rite now they are in a pretty good spot well balanced i dont think they need certain adjustments. From an actual fusion user since day 1. Deej Please adress this and fix mythoclast or reclassify it so it doesn't keep getting messed up.

        • Based on the PvP footage of the new fusion rifles look like they might be good but the changes really aren't helping them as a whole. I want them buffed so I can run my potentially OP Perun's Fire.

          • I saw the PVP footage and the new fusion rifles seem to work perfectly. Is it just the PRINCIPLE of the nerf that youre against? cause it doesn't seem to be hindering them at all

            The vex mythoclast needs a big PVE buff the fact that a 331atk vestian dynasty does more damage than 365 mythoclast is f**king stupid. The only time it's useful is when your fighting lower tier enemies and that's only if you constantly get headshots. Majors pretty much sponge it and laugh in your face and don't get me started on the cone of fire jesus christ you can be right next to an enemy aiming straight at their head and the energy beam goes around them wtf. In my opinion bungie should restore the mythoclasts base damage in PVE it got reduced by a whooping 34% because of PVP whiners and in return restore its original crit modifier in PVE it makes no sense for the mythoclast to be a headshot weapon. The cone of fire should also be reduced in PVE to be honest though it should have its cone of fire reduced in PVP as well it's ridiculous that you can be aiming at an enemy in close-short range and the energy beam goes the complete opposite direction. Also for anyone who thinks the ammo capacity is to low on the mythoclast it's supposed to be low the mythoclast is supposed to sacrifice high ammo drop rates and reserves in exchange for giving you very high power it sacrifices the ammo but doesn't provide the power in exchange.

          • On day one I fell in love with fusion rifles. They were my go to weapon do deal with major's or tough enemies. Then Bungie listened to the pvp nerf crying. Fusion rifles have been horrible ever since. Pocket infinity could clear a packed team off a point. If more than 3 players on a team had a vex the opposing team would run, hide, or rage quit. Plan c would stop a shotgun slide dead. Bungie doesn't need to "balance" them. They need to rethink the entire weapon. How about a system were the weapon fires an inverted cone of damage. at close range the damage is not concentrated to give a OHK. The cone point would be the max range so it would not act as a sniper. A true mid range weapon.

          • I've honestly found them very hard to use since ever, even before the adjustments. But I do remember them frustrating me early on. But it took precise timing and Shotguns pretty much are ez mode so I don't think we should be punishing Fusion Rifles at all. If anything we should bring them back, I'm tired of solely sniper/shotgun lobbies. I want more variety without having to risk the match win. Did anybody bother ascending their Light in the Abyss? [b]No.[/b] Now if they had a Praetorian Foil, I wouldn't blame them for ascending that, but most people likely didn't bother even then. But most Fusion Rifles just suck. Only the Exotics are barely worth using, and they're gimmicky at best. Plus Pocket Infinity glitches out more often than I'd like it to. I think making a single-bolt Fusion Rifle would be more interesting as an Exotic and competitive choice. But I think it should one-shot more like a Spartan Laser. Queenbreaker's Bow isn't that good when you think about it but it's not terrible either. But maybe it could just be a perk for Fusion Rifles to counter things like Shot Package. They fire it all in one massive bolt instead, or maybe give a fusion rifle tracking clusters like the Fallen weapons. They need something to keep them consistent since their damage can't dramatically boost off precision. But then again I haven't used them too much because of my early experiences... Maybe there's a few gem Fusion Rifles out there.

            • Bump. Love my fusion rifle. Unlucky for us though. This weapon class will go the way of the Pulse Rifles after this nerf. Shame. Love my Pulse Rifles too.

            • I definitely agree with you dude. I believe that the changes coming to fusion rifles in 2.0 was unnecessary, and needed a buff in pve if anything.
