Now this is going to sound like a play off of just about any other fps, but give me a chance here. The Taken King is going to bring us two new crucible modes. One of which is called mayhem. My problem with crucible right now is that it isn't like it was at launch when almost no one knew exactly what guns, and abilities to use. You saw a much larger variety of classes, abilities, and weapons being used. Now crucible can be extremely chaotic, with shotguns that have the range of auto rifles, and hand cannons with the range of sniper rifles.
I propose that Bungie implement a new mode that is essentially a "barebones" mode. All players are balanced, and are given one of each weapon temporarily at the beginning of each game. All players abilities will be their choice. Players will keep the armor they have, however armor abilities would not be used.
I attended Bungie's release event of vanilla destiny, and we were able to select from a basic set of weapons and armor, and it had a very similar feel to Halo 3 in some ways.
I'm sure someone has thought of this before me, but I thought it might be an interesting contrast to the way crucible is now. In addition to this, i feel like people are constantly up in arms about how unbalanced the weapons can be, and this could be a great place for people who want some definitive balance.
Let me know what you guys think!
