I dunno if this holds water or not, but anyone else find it rather "interesting" after all this time, and all the talk about how Xur's inventory is random, and all of a sudden... when the TTK is about to come out, and the Ghorn nerf is announced, Xur sells it?
I mean, is it just me... or does this really lead validity to the conspiracy of Xur not really being so random after all. I find it too coincidental. Again, just before TTK, just after the nerf, and after a whole year (almost) of people wanting it?
Now.... NOW, it gets sold?
Edit: I have no issues with it being sold... this is about Xur and RNG, and how I feel Bungie can actually influence the RNG more than they want to admit.

I read(months ago) multiple people say it was removed completely from xurs inventory. Guess not

Xur is not RNG, that has been proven a long time ago (Bungie has extended his stay and changed his inventory). It's also not a surprise they are selling the Gally right before the TTK. And don't be afraid of the nerf, it's not going to be that big of one (just a slight reduction the wolfpack rounds), it will still own everything, especially with 6 in a FT. ;)

Meh, regardless of when it eventually showed up people would find some way to label it a conspiracy. I wouldn't read too much into it. Perhaps it really is just a case of it being random. End of the day we'll never know for certain so why worry about it?
