I think that trading would be a really cool feature for destiny. Say you have the max amount of glimmer and there's nothing you want to buy. One of your friends desperately needs glimmer. You can give him glimmer and maybe he has a class item you want. You get the class item and he gets the glimmer. Ok yes I basically just explained trading. But I'm not saying give out exotics for free. But maybe emblems, class items weapons, (legendary or lower) and currency.
