My wife and I both play Destiny we both have three 34 characters. She, however, has some reticence about playing strikes and Prison of Elders because of people like xxxxxxxx. Recently I talked her into playing a level 32 POE, as she has 18 keys and needs to use them. My mistake was using LFG and not finding a clan member or friend. I have had good luck with LFG and found some fine and friendly Guardians. xxxxxxxx is a great example of the slow death of chivalry in our society. My wife and I are both over 60 but still enjoy gaming; however, we sometime we fail perform at the highest level (we suck). xxxxxxxx is excellent at gameplay but has a humanity deficit. We struggled “dismantling mines” in Round 4. After one restart xxxxxxxx stated my wife and I had to stop dying (xxxxxxxx –13 deaths, me – 16 deaths, my wife 18 deaths). During Urrox’s Grudge while I was trying to stay airborne xxxxxxxx said, to paraphrase “jumping with you Gjallarhorn look cool but try doing something”. He was dead at the time and upset that I was not reviving him as in a timely fashion. I don’t boot people on principle however it would have been a brief moment of pleasure to have done so then. In the end booting him would have been a better end as my wife who has negotiated POE just a few times died getting to the Treasure Room. xxxxxxxx opened the chest before I could revive her and she and I did not get the chest or to use a key. I may never get her back to POE now. You don’t expect chivalry, actually, but being gentlemanly is not too much to ask is it?

I finally get a group together for Crota's End, the raid I'd been dying to finish. One guy says "Hey, you guys want to do VoG?" I'm thinking, "WTF you joined for Crota's End. No I don't want to do VoG." Everyone else wants to do VoG. With reluctance, I promote a guy with a checkpoint and we go. I hear "This won't take long." Yeah. Heard that before. We struggle on the oracles for hours. Squeaker joins just as we start the Templar. Nobody can use the relic. Squeaker is annoying AF. We struggle for another hour. I decide "Screw this" and leave in frustration.

Some I'm playing Poe Lv 32 and I get paired up with 2 squeakers lv 32 and 31. So things are going good till we reach the Fallen arena. It come time to DESTROY the mines that goes ok also but we died 2 times cause I was overwhelmed by ads with the other 2 dead. Then we fight the Hive and this time it's DISMANTLE the mines. Now I'm a lv 32 titan and we all know titans are not blessed with speed I'm the only one under them but i could never get to all of them in time with my "help" always dead. Mines go off and we die. Again round 2 is DISMANTLE mines and this time I see that they are SHOOTING at the mines.....*epic face palm* To say we lost like 6 times in a row to that was sad. Finally after many tries later we reach the treasure room. Dumb and Dumber fall all the way down and die....they did not get there loot lol

Technically not a raid but the first week of how I was with a team on my first try on skolas and failed for about 3-4 hours then joined a new team and killed him in 1 try

Team of 3 noobs rushed Crota hip firing TLW. All were lvl 28. None of them made it to Crota.

Had a person claiming to be highly skilled hosting, consisted of 5 other guys who supposedly didn't have mics, got to the bridge on crota and get a Lvl 31 across. We all wipe bar one up top on the tower and another who thought "I'll start reviving these guys" in the midst of this the person across the bridge dies whilst everything our side de spawns leaving the people my side just standing around looking rather confused, let's just say this none of them even considered that we had to send someone else across :/

It was prison of elders but still bad. I got invited for Poe 34 the other day, I join game and party, I'm greeted by three Italian(I think it was Italian) dudes talkin their language. They would say stuff in Italian then say something about the prison in broken, broken English and ask "carbon are you understanding?" I'd say yes cuz I needed points for elder cipher and Poe 34 gives 500 total. I stuck it [i]in[/i] with three Italian dudes blasting their language into my earhole. I wanted to report em for being unhelpful

I was patrolling on Venus while waiting for a friend to log on when I see a fireteam attempting to enter VoG. It's not going well so I decide to offer some support. Eventually they get the doors open, although at one point I was the only person guarding the top plate. They enter the vault and I wave goodbye. Maybe 10 minutes later I get an invite to join them. I had NEVER done a raid at that point and figured what the hell? That's when it went wrong. They were at the beginning and guarding the confluxes and again not going well. They were not happy and arguing and one of them (the guy who invited me) was trying to calm everyone down. I was only referred to as "The Random". Having only a basic idea what was needed, I watched and figured it out. Everyone was all over the place. No consistency on who was guarding what. People were just running around shotgunning. We wiped a lot. Eventually one guy just stayed up on the ledge dancing and refused to participate, all the while being kind of a jerk. The rest of the team were just super angry and arguing. After an hour, I left. It was a while before I'd try VoG again. This one had left a bad taste in my mouth.

Loading up the raid and then realizing I will never find a team...

My worst experience was summoning up the courage to ask one of my friends, a 34 who runs raids weekly in about 40 mins, if I could join. I lost an xbox live friend that day, and to this day I wonder if I will ever see one of the raid bosses.

i played vog with some squeeker from the dirty south who we started calling cowboy. I planned to talk about what happened when i started typing but I cant actually even actually even what.

5 lvl 34s in VoG hard. One of them asked what Praetorian Foil was when they got it (what a noob) and we couldn't beat Atheon because I was the only one with an oracle disruptor primary and the only one who could use the relic.

First time trying to pull both relics out of the portals before Atheon. 4 hours later, we gave up and found a better team.

Random guy who is drunk complains about us being vog noobs after one wipe which was partially his fault, we tell him it's been a while since we're day 1ers and the rust was showing lol... He quit, and we beat it the next try. This is why I play with my clan/alliance guys and don't have bad times in raids generally.
