So I recently got my self a ps4 and a copy of destiny. I have been quite enthralled in the pve side but have just started playing the crucible. (I seem to be getting a little better after a number of beers lol)
I have a few opinions. It is not the best pvp I have played before but it is solid.
As a new player with less gear it can be quite frustrating sometimes vs more experienced players. All in all though I enjoy the challenge.
Shotguns seem to be everywhere, which is alright I guess, but it would be be cool to see more fusions and other types of weapons. Those are just a few thoughts
I wanted to ask everyone out there if they have any tips for newer players to be effective in the crucible.

Don't rush. Practice your spacing and map awareness. As an experienced crucible player I still struggle doing these things haha

Drinking and crucible is like golf. Up to a point you'll start to play better, after that line you start to suck again but don't care!

I for one do not think it would be cool to see fusions make a comeback. I'm perfectly content not getting cross mapped by them anymore.

Actually you're entering the fray at the worst time. Exotic HC abuse is rampant, final round snipers, shotguns with shot package, blink shotgun spam, rocket launchers are easy mode. Unfortunately due to massive imbalances the crucible has been watered down to these few things. Weapon diversity and tactics is at an all time low. We are "patiently" awating the big 2.0 weapon rebalancing patch.

I agree, there should be more diversity to everyone's selection. Fusions used to kick ass in pvp, but a lot of people got butthurt, and they've been nerfed into obsolescence. Tbh, the one hit kill range of Fusions was a little ridiculous, but now they are pretty much useless.

Learn the map and learn how to counter blink look up usually works or follow the Blue trail they blink

Just learning the maps is a major help.
