Bungie is bias against PVE!
If you look at the world of destiny as a whole and consider every aspect of the game can you truly say without a doubt that the best gear and guns can be found in pve ( aka the Prison of Elders). If you actually did take that second to look, and didn't want to be complete JACKASS about this post, you would find that they did create a pve world and things to do in that world, which are the same things day in and day out. Unfortunately the world is just a base to build the world of pvp off from. Almost all the rewards that come from "special Events" aka Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris out class any gun of equivalent stature in say The Prison of Elders. Lets' compare the boots from POE and ToO for a second, they both do carry heavy ammo, but the ToO boots can carry an additional ammo type, where as the POE boots give a stat bonus that only works within the prison. I ask bungie how this is truly fair to all players, when some of us out there truly dislike pvp and cannot in our wildest dreams get a 9-0 victory in ToO. There are casual players out there that payed good money for the expansion and now have now way to receive the best gear in the game. Will you (bungie) refund that money, give the gear away for free? I highly doubt either will happen. And to those who read this post and and wish to replay with a JACKASS comment like "Just get better" or something of the kind, then you are a self-centered fool who does not consider the scope of the community at large. And to Bungie, I do hope you do truly consider the words in this post as honest.

2 RepliesIn previous updates/dlc all the best gear was only available in PVE so it's not really a shock that PVP players get some now is it? I hate PVP by the way and only ever play when Iron Banana is on. In a little over a month the Osiris gear will be mediocre as TTK gear comes out. Just be patient.

All of my best guns came form PVP, Silimar's Wrath, Party Crasher +1 and BTRD. I accept that the better gear comes from PVP but I take those weapons and tear apart PVE. I enjoy both but do think that Bungie puts more attention to PVP than PVE.

I assume you're a recent guardian or simply weren't aware that this was the previous complaint on the forums. Bungie is trying to balance things for all play styles. PvE: 1. Story mode 2. Vanguard bounties 3. Eris Morn bounties 4. Queen bounties 5. Vault of Glass raid 6. Crota's End raid 7. Prison of Elders PvP: 1. Crucible Playlists 2. Crucible bounties 3. Trials of Osiris 4. [b]ON OCCASION[/b] Iron Banner I see the balance is still in favor of PvE, my friend.

3 RepliesPractice PvP. I have a friend that only plays PvP now, he will not do any PvE until he is good enough to go 9 and 0. We helped him get to 9 and 1 last week, another week of PvP and we will probably get him to the Lighthouse.

Everything up to Trials was all PvE.

To solve your issue, equip a chest piece that allows you to carry more "____" ammo. =/ I mean, with the abundance of ammo in the PvE world, do you really need 2x armors with extra ammo for your primary? Frankly, I don't see the point in having that perk on the ToO boots considering it's HIGHLY unlikely you're going to be running out of primary ammo in the Crucible, but I don't think it's unfair or unequal. You're comparing a moderately challenging PvE activity to the single most difficult activity in the game. With enough patience, any 3-man team can clear the Prison from 28 all the way up to Skolas in a single night. But it's a considerable amount more difficult to go 9-0 and reach the Lighthouse. (Best ToO record being 1-3, I feel your pain.) Iron Banner is a little more forgiving and provides weapons that outclass *most of the ToO weapons that are viable in both PvP and PvE. Sure, elemental Primaries are out of the loot pool, but then again, IB isn't a top-tier activity like the Trials. More or less, Bungie created two avenues for each type of player to achieve equivalent end-game gear. Previously, the only option to get the best weapons and hit the level cap was through the PvE Raids. Then they introduced Iron Banner gear at max light level. Some were pleased while some thought it was too easy (which it really was) So their next solution was to create a hyper-competitive PvP activity that the Crucible players could participate in to reach Max light and get comparable weapons without having to Raid for them. Unfortunately, The Prison of Elders turned out to be a little lackluster in comparison, which I think is where your complaint (for lack of a better term) is coming from. The weapons and gear are SO specific to only the Prison that their overall usefulness is crippled. But then again, when you've got powerhouses like Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence, and Black Hammer... it's easy to fall short.

Yeah, I hate it how some content is locked behind a huge wall and with the constant 9-0 players still playing Trials, there is no chance for casuals. Should be same for everyone. Don't get me wrong it should still be a grind, but not impossible for casuals.

Just yesterday I was doing patrols with my warlock I restarted. Got the kill target on the Cosmodrome, located just past The Divide. Get in there and take out all the shanks, dregs and vandals. And out from the hole in the wall comes this low level ultra Archon Priest. That was awesome! I had that happen to me only once before months ago. But that's it. No other encounters like it. You can fight the fallen Walker in the blast if you want. But there's no other ultras lying in wait to ambush you. Go out to the Endless Steps to kill the servitude for the wolves bounty. And once you're done all you got left in there are some hobgoblins trying to snipe you. Why aren't there hydra ultras or even a gate lord lying in wait to crush you there? There's nothing. I think there ought to be ultras in patrols off the beaten path. Make it a bounty even to clear them all in a day. Would be way more fun to take friends on patrols versus repeating the same end game content.
