This guy is exactly right!

So I was browsing the forums and this guy is probably one of the smartest people I've ever seen lol. Whaddya think?
The sad truth is this: there is a giant miscommunication between Bungie and their players. Let's take an example to shine light on the gap between player feedback and "fixing issues." I'm sure you can think of plenty, so I'll just list one for now. 1.) Loot Caves - The Problem: Players were not being rewarded with enough substantial and interesting guns, loot, and ways to achieve new tools. So, players did what players do, they innovated. They created a new solution to their problem, which was exploitation. The Solution: Add a joke to the loot cave, eradicate them, and tell players that engrams would be better rewarded through activities. This is one of many well-intentioned, but failed, attempts at confronting the player's issues. In the end, the problem hasn't been fixed, the exploitation has. Bungie needs to ask themselves, "what led players to do this?" This comes down on you, Bungie. Not us. The problem is not that Bungie does not hear us. They do. The problem is that they are are focusing on the actions of players, not the gameplay institutions that lead players to their actions. I respect Bungie, Deej, and Destiny. If I had no love for this company that I grew up with, I would not be angry. Anger is the inability to change something, and while Bungie hears our anger, they have no idea why it exists. Our actions are not the problems to be patched and banned. We love what this game could have been as previewed at E3 2013. Friends flying into our worlds in their ships. Direct loot drops reminiscent of Diablo 2's addicting system. Massive PvE events where fire teams dropped into our worlds to join our fights. Sadly, some have forgotten this Destiny. We loved this. We still do. Running raids continuously, playing hours of horde mode in PoE, extremely repetitive strikes, only to be met with more of the same and an extra subclass? Same problem, same content, new amazing artwork and sound design. This is not my Destiny. No. I need satisfying, complete, and cohesive gameplay. As long as Bungie's answer is "here's more of the same content," as it seems with The Taken King, I will remain disappointed and hopeful that maybe, just maybe, the people who pioneered this dream will come back and revive this shard of a complete game. Side note: If this is somehow read by any team member who worked on the art or soundtrack for this game, you are amazing. You've done amazing work. I hope those conceptualizations are still brimming with life, and I'm sorry to see the worlds you've created being Taken for granted.
• Nah I don't think so, everyone likes to blame activision for this and so do I.

  • I don't think I agree with this, all the exploits in raid for example. Atheon wasn't a hard boss to beat but people wanted to push him off because it's easier. Crota wasn't too bad to beat but people used the lag glitch because it was easier. Just like the loot caves, you can get a whole bunch of engrams from strikes but it was just easier to farm the cave. People just want to take the easier/quicker route it's not to do with destiny being made wrong I don't think.

  • Btw i really dislike that side note at the end, and most of that was just pretentious

  • The problem is the players, not the game. Guns are being nerfed because people overuse them, exclude players and whine about them. Public Events are like the e3 showcase, but players are not interested. People want matchmaking because they're excluded in lfg sites. People don't want matchmaking because others afk. People are being banned whilst innocent because others think it's fun to lag the entire game to win.

  • People still have this problem? This like 10 months old complaint. This isn't an issue anymore. Problem were the drop rates for legendary engrams were low and the cryptarch was atrocious and decoding them into legendaries. It has been solved with legendaries being a guaranteed decode on the legendary engram. If you were around for it you would know how bad it was. There was no miscommunication or lack of it between bungie or the players. That how the game was initially when it first rolled out. The players complained..Bungie listened.. and it was fixed. Vanilla had the worst drop rates in destiny. Right now the drop rates and level scheme are hand outs.

    • Sad part is that they only patched the loot cave because of the massive amounts of players reporting other players because of farming, and players reporting other players for sitting in the loot cave, causing enemies not to spawn.Bungie already new of this loot cave :P

    • Nerf my Gally and Icebreaker and what do I do? I don't play. I've only logged in to help my brother a few times since the announcement and last night to buy something from Xur that my Titan didn't have. You can't keep taking awesome weapons away from us bungie and waste your time creating hundreds of sub par ones.

    • 1 small problem. The loot cave was the symptom of a bigger loot problem. They fixed it, congratulated the community on its innovative solution, praised the coming together within days and made the drop rates better. No one got banned. So to me its -blam!-ing stupid to raise this as an issue (who wants to sit in front of a black hole for 'fun') and therefore any credit this author wants is immediately lost for reasons of retardation.

      • Dude the loot cave was taken out becuase bungie kept getting complaints from ppl complaining and looters outside and looters complaining about ppl sitting inside the cave messing with the spawn. Bungie never wanted ppl to exploit this cave (though they knew about it) and its true if you just played the game you got more then just sitting in front of the cave, I didn't read the rest becuase from what I did read this guy is complaining about the things he alone wants changed and claims its the opinion of the community, I don't like it when ppl think I'm just like them, or anyone, everyone has an opinion and there not all the same.

      • To me, I think most of the Legendaries were supposed to be Rares with actually Legendaries being harder to come by. But seeing as it failed due to how stable and stingy the RNG it didn't work out
