So here are my thoughts...... A lot of people are saying that it makes sense because something like the BH shouldn't be that powerful against PVE bosses. I say..... I believe in bungie more then that. Bungie, I believe that you can make bosses in strikes good enough that Black Hammer won't be the weapon to use. I believe you can make weapons that outclass the BH so it won't be the go to option. Why bring the BH down to be on par with other weapons. Instead, bring the PVE play up to outclass the BH. Then bring new weapons to the table that work best against those enemies. The BH should be one of the best weapons for year 1 PVE play. Let it be that way. Then create different bosses and different weapons so when I play year 2 I need those. That way you keep the necessity to have year 1 weapons in your vault while also creating a intense desire to get the year 2 weapons. If I grind Crota's End to get the BH (which I didn't I actually got super lucky the first time) then why shouldn't I have some perk that lets me get through year 1 junk faster and easier? Bottom line is that I believe in you Bungie. Don't let the weapons you created in year 1 limit your creativity for the next decade.
