How do I get better in Cruicible... Need some tips please

OK. Lets start off by acknowledging a couple of issues. 1. I am not very good at crucible 2. I am willing to learn from some good advise I started playing crucible in earnest recently. Started with a very low K/D and am slowly increasing it but mostly below 1 anyways. My goals are modest I want to have a K/D of > 1.0 in almost all games I play so that I can be net positive contributor to the team score. Any tips and suggestions would be great. Thanks Edit1: First of all thank you for a lot of your forum members for being patient with me and giving some valuable advise, pointing to videos and sharing your thoughts. It has been wonderful of each one of you to help get someone better :). One day I might even be good enough to play the ToO... Thank you all.

 • Not the best, but can generally hold my own. My recommendations are as follows and can basically be summed up with "use what you like" and maintain situational awareness. 1. Find out what weapons you can regularly score headshots with (1 primary, special, Heavy) regardless of what anyone else says is the best. It doesn't matter how hard it hits if you can't hit anyone. I do just fine and always use my SUROS Regime (which everyone says is useless) regardless the type of crucible match it is. What you like matters more than what the forums and others say is best. 2. Play Control (notice I never mentioned anything about IB). You can graduate to IB once you feel comfortable with your loadout. 3. Remember that your team doesn't need all 3 points, so just make sure that after you decide which point is easiest for you to defend (out of the available/acessible points), that you keep it in front of you with as much cover (out-of-bounds) behind you as possible. This is not necessarily camping, as I am not advocating sitting in a single location, but I am recommending that you limit where you allow yourself to get into firefights. make sure you only fight in advantageous positions. 4 Since you aren't running around like an idiot, you have a lot more free time. Therefore you should use your time getting headshots on anyone trying to take that objective from you and hit them as they approach. This will also give you a good vantage to feel when the best time to use a super is. 5. Practice. That will get you a positive K/D and keep you in the top half. Sometimes you will get beat down, but most times that wont be the case.
