[b][u]Bounty Hunter[/u][/b] Shin Malphur swatted the flies that were gathering around him as he stumbled through the swampy forest, cursing at his luck. He was tracking a rogue Warlock named Harrison Kane, a fanatic who had taken to satanic rituals, which would have been alright with the Tower, if Kane hadn't been using Human sacrifices to accomplish it. "Where the hell is he hiding?" Shin cursed. He had taken this contract from Xander in hopes of an easy payday, turns out he was going to have to work for it. Shin was known around the Tower as the 'Renegade Hunter' for him killing Dredgen Yor, the man who killed his mentor, Jaren Ward, and countless others. He always hated that title because he wasn't a guardian, and he wasn't a renegade, he just hunted renegades. But Kane had been a tough target to track, like trying to find a needle in a haystack. So far he had evaded Shin's cross hairs by mere seconds. And that was why he was treading through a blasted swamp. He approached Kane's makeshift altar, keeping to the shadows. The Warlock was beginning his ritual, and if Malphur approached him now, he would flee. So he waited. "Oh great and powerful Ram!" Kane threw up his arms as he bowed. "I have found a proper sacrifice for you, a pure soul of human flesh!" he dragged the sacrafice, a young man in tattered rags, to the altar, where he began to chain him up. "Feed me..." the Ram helmet on his head seemed to speak with a mind of its own, startling Malphur. He had to make his move now, otherwise he'd have another innocents blood on his hands. He exited his hiding spot. "Oi!" Kane whirled around to face Malphur and was met with a shot to the head. As he fell Malphur raced to the victim, ripping his chains off. "Get out of here mate! Run!" he encouraged the helpless man, giving him a shove which sent him running into the woods. "You'll pay dearly for that, Renegade Hunter." Shin turned to watch Kane rise to his feet, his voice resonating in unison with the Ram's. "I think you're own life will sate my appetite." Shin watched as the wound made by his shot closed up. He could feel Kane's grin from underneath the helmet. The warlock charged, using his Palms to unleash the force pushes warlocks are known for. Shin dodged a few wild strikes but the third blow landed, knocking him back and draining his energy. "Feeling weak?" the Ram goaded Shin. "My power allows Kane here to drain your energy and replenish his own with every punch. There is no way to defeat him." Kane roared and charged at Shin again. Shin sidestepped the charging Kane, slashing him with his knife as he passed by. Kane snarled and tried to hit Shin again. "Oh shut up." Shin growled through clenched teeth. The two wrestled, with Kane eventually getting the upper hand. He grabbed Shin by the armor on his back, driving him through a stone pillar, he dragged Shin to the altar, and raised his arm to finish him off. "Foolish wretch! You had no chance, no Guardian can best me!" his hand began pulsing with energy as he slowly brought it towards Shin's chest. Eight shots rang out, the sound not unlike a cracking whip, shattering the eerie atmosphere of the swamp. Kane looked down at his chest, and was surprised to see blood flowing from his wounds. "No..." he sank to his knees, looking at Shin with a confused face. "How?" Shin holstered The Last Word. "I'm not a Guardian." he moved fast, grabbing the Ram by the horns, he twisted violently, snapping Kane's neck, and ripping off his head. He held the Ram in his hands as Kane's body slumped to the ground. He looked into his eyes and heard it's voice again. "Feed me..." "Feed yourself." he said with disgust, and tossed it into the swamp, watching it sink beneath the surface. He breathed a sigh of relief, then contacted Xander on his communicator. "Xander, this is Shin Malphur, Kane has been dealt with, permenantly." "Splendid. The funds will be transfered into your account." Shin smiled as he listened to the frame do its work. "Will there be anything else?" "Yeah do you have any more bounties for me?" Shin grimaced as he popped his shoulder back into place. It had been dislocated when Kane rammed him through the pillar. "Yes, one for Fireteam Gemini, the twins Castor and Pollux are back on the grid. I would be careful, they are notoriously dangerous."
