The Vex Mythoclast

Tl;DR: Mythoclast's cone of fire is too wide, unable to compete at range and this makes Send It useless. Solution: Tighten cone of fire OR replace Send it for something else in the perk tree. Also please for the love of god don't reduce the speed of the Mythoclast's projectiles in the next update. It will become unusable and officially a legacy weapon. Please. Hey everyone, In the Crucible, I use the Mythoclast almost religiously because it was my favourite weapon before the Hand Cannon reign and still is. But I have one problem with it. With the Fusion Rifle's cone of fire being nerfed in the January, it has become almost impossible to win at any far ranges with the Mythoclast. Now, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the inclusion of the 'Send It' Perk on the Mythoclast. All I wanted to say is that it is extremely frustrating to both a) have a perk that increases range and b) have the changes that affected secondary fusion rifle applied to this gun basically defeating the purpose of said perk In my opinion, the Mythoclast is perfect how it is but either needs the burst cone tightened or the Send It perk changed to something less obsolete. Many times, I, personally, will get into a fight with a Last Word at range... and lose... with Send It. To add insult to injury, not only is the Last Word's damage falloff pretty much nothing (I know this is being changed) but with an automatic gun, that has Send it, losing to a minimal range hand cannon is unbelievably frustrating. Before this change, Mythoclast just worked well for me every time and got me out of some tough situations. But now, I even get to the point of questioning hit registration on the Mythoclast. Then I remember, this gun can't fire straight at long ranges even with Send It. I know that Send it also increases increases accuracy i.e. Auto Aim. But, at range when there is a deviation of at least 1 player length anywhere around where is shot, this doesn't matter. Solution: 1. Assuming the change that allows individual tweaking of damage fall off was also carried over for burst cone, reduce these deviations for the Mythoclast. I mean, what's the point of having a weapon that can barely compete at range when close range is dominated by Shotguns. -OR- 2. Remove the send it perk and replace it for something more useful. Thank you for reading this far :)

There were Vex wielders in IB last night that were absolutely owning everybody. So they seem to still be powerful in PvP. I love the sound this weapon makes as well. Very distinctive! If only I owned one lol!

      • Been using Vex a lot in PvE to level it up.... IMO it is better than most autos O_o I get curious about all these complaints, been awhile since been in crucible on my account, s havent used there yet, but when me and friend were playing, we were noticing vex killing us at odd times insanely quick... (we noticed because it was when we had HMG out) Fusions in general, do not need nerfing....

        • that would be nice; I would start using it again in PvP ... I really only use it in a nightfall with solar damage with my hunter ... so yea that basically means it's collecting dust for 3-4 weeks at a time...
