Why are people so defensive of the console they play on? I mean, if anyone dare pass comment on one console or another, that may even seem slightly one sided, then a lot of people from the opposite console will totally attack that person. Why is this so common? Most people aren't even aiming for it to be a negative comment they're probably just asking a question. Personally I play on the Xbox One. Now, am I going to instantly get "hate" thrown at me for saying this by people who use the other consoles? Probably. I previously played Destiny on the PS3 before I upgraded to next gen and to be quite honest, my experience was extremely similar. The only differences that I noticed were: - On the Xbone the graphics are a lot better (this was to be expected obviously) - The Xbone world seems a lot busier (also expected due to the boom in new console gamers as of the release of next gen) What am I getting at here? Well I feel like this "hate" that is projected to other members of the destiny community is quite bad for new players. If someone that has never used the forums before decides to ask a question, they may state their console in the comment. This may result in someone being rude to them about the console that they use. Do you think this is going to encourage them to return to the forums and involve them in the Destiny community? No. Now please don't get me wrong, this is aimed towards a minority. Most members of the Destiny community are extremely friendly towards each other and for them, this does not apply. Destiny's community is such a friendly one and I feel like it can only get friendlier if we recognise that no matter what console a person is playing on, they are still part of the same community as you.
