Welcome to reason why exotics shouldn't be nerfed or should have minimal nerfs (like a much lower range on hand cannons). I've got quite a few and there will be a tl;dr down there at the bottom. Anyway, exotics shouldn't be nerfed because... -You can only equip one at a time. You can have all the legendaries you want but only one exotic at a time. Thus, I want it to be the most powerful gun of my 3, and not lose to some trashy blue auto rifle. [spoiler]but I don't wanna get killed by the bad juju or suros or [insert exotic hand cannon here]! Maybe you should grind for your own, scrub. [/spoiler] -no matter what anyone says, they're harder to get than legendaries. I've got enough legendary weapons for an army. But 9 exotic weapons. After several hard raids, doing the nightfall every single week since I got the game, and countless crucible matches and strikes, I've gotten one exotic out of them. The rest were either bought from xur (3 of them), bounties (another three) and picked up from the prison of elders treasure chest. Like I said, I wanna best a pathetic blue weapon with my Suros, and I'd expect someone to beat me with a thorn if I had anything less than legendary or exotic. -They're goddamn exotics. They're special. They're visually appealing and should be powerful as all -blam!-. If nerfs keep happening, all they will be is visually appealing. Now to touch on specifics. -Primaries -The hawkmoon is more sought after than honesty in politics. It should be powerful due to its rarity. -The thorn has an annoying bounty. Dot nerd is somewhat justified, but that should be the extent of it. -The last word. Ah yes, possibly one of the most gorgeous guns IMO. Leave it alone. It's portrayed as badass and should be. -Suros, bad juju, mida, and other non-hand cannons. Primaries are meant to be your go-to weapons for everything short of checking your corners or excessively long range. They should definitely be and sale to beat out anything at optimal range. -Universal remote should be left alone. -No land beyond should be buffed. Your guardian is a guardian of the traveler's light, destroyer of atheon, killer of crota, basically a demigod, but can't cock a bolt action fast enough for quick shots? Pathetic. Fix it. -Specials -Pocket infinity needs a slightly faster charge rate. Other than thag, I have no problems with any other exotic special. They're just as powerful as they should be. -Heavies -Gjallarhorn shouldn't be nerfed becauxe, who cares if you're being excluded by randoms? If you can go on the bungie site to bitch about the gun, you can just as easily round up a fire team on the forums that'll help you, regardless of if you have it or not. Other than that, heavies are fine. NOW, IF IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED SO BADLY... -Make non-exotic crucible playlists. That would make it so people won't bitch and whine about getting killed by a thorn or suros. -If you're being excluded due to lack of ghorn, open up the forums and ask for help. We're friendly. I'd gladly help a ghorn-less player. I don't have one either. (I've never actually been excluded because of it) -Grind for your own ya pansies! I'm feeling like this isn't so much of an "it's op!" situation as an "I'm jealous, how dare you have something I don't have AND it be better than what I have!!!" thing.
