Edited by darqknife: 7/15/2015 10:08:25 AMYou know what would make testing theories of what works and how things work a hell of a lot easier? Private matches. Used to do it with every online game to try out different setups, and to se exactly - how far guns can hit for how much damage, how many shots to where kills someone, and test lines of sight. Right now, we get to attempt to test things in the lagcible.

Edited by UberLord Parker: 7/15/2015 10:23:27 AMWith the PvE damage buff, Rangefinder will outperform Shot Package at long range; however, it doesn't carry over the same way in PvP. In PvP both Shot Package and Rangefinder are OHKs from nearly the same range. They both require ADS... they both work better when combined with a range perk (Hammer Forged, Small Bore, and whatnot). Rangefinder... You may miss with some pellets at your maximum range, but the ones that hit will hit like a truck. Shot Package... you either hit your target... or you don't. LiTC or Final Round are almost always an easy kill. I've played with a perfect Pre-HoW Felwinter's, a HoW Felwinter's, Matador-64, and PC+1 with Shot Package... and another set with Rangefinder. I tend to go back to the old trusty Pre-How Felwinter's w/Shot Package... it's like wearing your old shoes because they're comfortable... BUT a PC+1 has a better RoF and has FANTASTIC Aim Assist. Aim Assist on a Shotgun. Who needs Aim Assist on a Shotgun??? You have to be ADS for the Shot Package anyway... you can land Crits at Maximum Effective Range just a little bit easier. In the end... they ALL work about the same way... it just comes down to your personal preferences. Good Luck and happy hunting.

I found that interesting. They are all pretty similar I might as well roll for different perks.

Simple, range has a cap, rangefinder gets canceled out once you reach the max range anyways lol
